That tire really works good at cleaning up. Man it’s getting cold here now. Got hay cut Friday and the water pump went out on my 574 International. What a year. Have a good one

It was fun seeing the cattle play in the hay after it was laid down. The machine should come with several sets of cows goggles.

I've seen another machine with more hydraulic controls to direct the material where you'd want it. This 1 seems to do the job but lacking control

You may want to think about using a 3 point rototiller to break up pen pack and then blow dry straw on top , The big turkey barns do that and it works, it may start the decomposing with it still in barn , Just a ideal ..

I was wondering if the 5075 could run that grinder? I was wondering if you would be better of running the cows/calves out before bedding. And another question, do you think that will save on bedding?
@TheFarmingLife

Yes the 5075m could run it and yes it would save on wedding but we had the 5075m hook to the sprayer. I guess we would need another tractor LOL. Yes it probably would have been better to run the cows and calves out prior to bedding. Some of them did leave on their own. There was also excellent air flow through the barn at the time so the dust did not hang around.

Could the 5075m run it might be easier to get in the barn with it

Great vid just watch out for breathing problems with dust and it can get in eyes 😂could you shut cattle out in feed lot when you do this? Also there's not much control is there one with hydraulic controls? Last thing watch yourself in the dust aswell 😬

I used one of these 25 years ago it would hold one round bale but we could also fired out each side on a shoot hay or straw underneath the rails ( your rail too low )put a flex hose on the top of that top shoot and have your wife Drive the tractor you will be golden

I like the concept of blowing in the bedding and grinding the hay for feed, not sure if 5500 is the right machine for your operation. The 5500 seems like it would be better suited for round bales. Regardless, it makes for a cool video❗👍

They do work great but you do need the Hydraulics added to where you can control where the material goes and it will also blow back to the back of the wall to cover the whole stall like you would want to. A friend of mine runs two of them they are pretty nice and I would not keep the cattle in there until the dust settles

Looks like it would be a great labor saver. Too bad you can't just drive through and not have to back in.

great idea. if you guys do end up getting one make sure that it has a hydraulically controlled pipe hat way you can control the direction of the straw from the comfort of the cab. keep up the great work, can you do more videos on your kids running the equipment around the farm

I don't think that's a good idea to be blowing all that dust on your cows and especially your newborn calves, your clean shiny cows will be covered in dust. They don't need to be breathing that dust!

Howdy Farmer n Mrs Farmer n Family... How has y'alls weekend been going so far, i hope very Good... Guess we were a lil luckier here in Southeast Missouri, cause we only had 3-4 inches of snow dumped on us before it hit you there... That chopper worked pretty slick testing it out in the steer barn... Except for the Extreme dust hazard it produces... Maybe if y'all hung a couple of fans, identical to the ones in the lower calf barn, from the ceiling blowing towards the road behind the feed bin, then those may help lessen the dust hazard... That is if y'all decide to bed the Black Angus like this in the future... Anyways...Keep up the Good Work... I always love your videos... Y'all take care Thanx for sharing...

That makes a lot of dust. You will have coughing and sick cattle. I would lock them outside when doing this.

Farmer. Doing bedding that way will make a mess of your barn and your cattle will start coughing . Believe me , I used to bed our tie-stall
