Great video. Love the composite shot with your daughter at the end. Tripos wise though - im 6’4” and do a lot of travel and landscape photography. Im currently using a Leofoto Ranger tripod since it’s tall enough for me, But i also sometimes use a smaller induro tripod too.

I personally much prefer the remote over using my phone. The connection is more reliable and the remote has a specific purpose. The phone is handy of course but less reliable for me.

Nice ! The one with the bridge did you just have a clean slate photo without couple or light and than one with the light and couple ?
@AndrewVanBeekOttawa

In my case, the couple was in both shots. It could work either way, but having the couple at the start allows you to get the exposure correct with the flash first. Then you don’t have to change anything for the non-flash shot.

when using the remote in situations where you cant look through the cameras viewfinder - like an elevated tripod - how do you select a focus point? and do you simultaneously pair with a mobile device for live view to see what youre shooting / adjust framing etc?
@AndrewVanBeekOttawa
6 ай бұрын
This depends. Your best bet is to pre-focus or put the focus point where you want it to be and focus with the focus button on the remote. I think you can select a new focus point using the Sony app but that’s quite cumbersome.

Can you do continuous shooting with this controller without that you hold button? Let we say that you push button and put controler in pocket if you doing self photo.
@AndrewVanBeekOttawa
2 жыл бұрын
You can use the shutter button on the remote exactly like how you have the camera set. So continuous shooting yes and you can use it from your pocket. If you have a camera with eye focus, set the focus type to wide, the camera will focus by itself and you get a perfect photo.

- I got an iFootage Fastbowl tripod - very reasonable price for that kind of tripod - and I have not found any weaknesses yet! Have a Manfrotto fluid head on it. I prefer that for photography too. - Then I got a Manfrotto monopod, that has fluid tech in the tiny tripod base and works super great as a table tripod with smooth motion and no ball-head fumble required to change camera angles. SMOOTH! With this, I went from Tripod annoyance to loving every minute of using them. Still have real issues with camera straps of any kind. They are all way too fumbly, when you need to take them off or put them on. Its a try-and-return hell :(
