@@emilyharpist What about now? 😆 When I first started listening to noise back in the early 90s it took a little while before I found the particular style that really clicked, for me it was Phlegm Bag Spattered from Controlled Bleeding. I had already been listening to a wide variety of music at the time and was into more low-keyed weirdo experimental music, mostly more academic sort of compositions and INA-GRM styled electroacoustic/acousmatic sort of work. I had picked up a used vinyl copy of The Haters album In The Shade Of Fire having no idea what sort of music it was beforehand, and was very intrigued by the sounds I heard, so much so I made a cassette copy and would sometimes let it loop continously while I was driving, people definitely had questions, LOL! Anyway, that kind of helped set my course, and in '95 I started doing my own noise project which I've done for the past 27 years!

You can tell where the track on an album starts by looking at the album itself and looking at the grooves in the album. Where a track starts, you will be able to tell just by looking at it. Just take a look and you will see what I mean. I also am pretty sure most record players have 3 speeds. When everyone else got a CD player in the 90's, I got gifted a record player that was used. It had 2 tape decks, an 8-track player and AM/FM radio and I loved that thing. Unfortunately the belt started to go and I didn't have money to put into it and couldn't handle listening to The Beatles sounding slowed down and thankfully neither could my parents 😂 I got a CD player for Christmas that year but.... and don't get me wrong, I love CD's and still use them too but... I miss having a record player and think it's high time I got a new one! Something is definitely wrong with me though, I am going to look up this Audio Shock album now so I can listen to it and decide if it's even worse than I am expecting it to be in it's entirety. I have to listen to it to find that out!! 😂 I am a little scared after watching what your ears endured here but still curious. 🙂
