Uttarakhand's Gartang Gali Bridge
The famous Gartang Gali wooden bridge, which dates back over 150 years and is located at a height of 11,000 feet in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi district near the Indo-China border, reopened to tourists in august 2021 after 59 years.
Gartang Gali bridge, which is thought to have been erected by Peshawar Pathans, is located on a historic trade route to Tibet. It sustained damage throughout the years and was designated off-limits following the Indo-China war in 1962.
