The best channel ever about UX (and I must admit I rarely leave comments on youtube videos). I write down almost everything you say, so it's great you also leave terms and definitions on the screen. Waiting for more videos. Thank you so much. You are an amazing mentor. Big LIKE!

Do you have any examples of you conducting interviews, the questions you ask and how you note down the answers for something like a website re design. So many people say I interviewed xyz but it would be nice to see how you conduct those and then document the feedback. How you come up with the questions etc

What kind of user research would you conduct for a dashboard design?

For a project like the one mentioned in the video, the target user group are small business owners. So I would target them and do a combination of a quantitive user research where I ask both open and closed ended questions in order to tap into their minds a bit on expectations, current pain points, and needs. And then based on those insights I would also do a qualitative user interview either in a focus group of 5-8 people or 1-on-1’s, where I ask more specific questions to dig deeper. If it’s a new product without any user base, I would also try to get in touch with a subject matter expert.
