Once you hit Dracula gear, I recommend using the Dread armor set, it increases healing from all sources including leech, stick with brute and the greatsword. switching over to the spell amulet would sound dumb for a build like this, but it gives a 10% chance on autos to give you a shield which is also buffed by your dread set. Great video!

How well would axes fit into this build? They also synergize well with leech, like sword, arguably slightly better. Though, I imagine the i-frames of great sword help out a lot, too.

I recommend you mix your schools of magic. You don't need 3 different sources of applying leech, one or maybe two is sufficient. That's why I would recommend you try Soulburn. It silences everything around you so you're free to hit them with primaries, gives them condemn so your primaries hit for more, and it heals you for each target hit. On top of that, the skeletons it spawns when you kill stuff, get empowered by blood rage. Alternatively, an illusion spell like spectral wolf with the jewel that makes it return and heal you, is also a great ranged option. Weakening your enemies is extra strong in a healing focused build. For the amulet, since you're going for a lot of attack speed, consider Duskwatcher instead, it not only gives you attack speed, but also the static effect. Oh, and the game does have healing potions. They just don't work if you take damage while using them.

Or the good old power surge + bloodrage combo as well.
