The work on the pedal care is a labor of love...it shows. I enjoyed it. Watching you work on the plow triggered a memory..when I was about 10, about 54 years ago, Dad had an old Willys Pickup with a plow on it, I thought it was about the coolest thing around..not because of the plow, but because of the little 283 with twin glass packs under the hood, ya know? Sounded soo cool to my ears...anyway he had a strip of conveyor belt he had scrounged from some place, and he would keep a strip of it hanging down just below the cutting edge of the blade to do the same thing you are doing...it worked. He would drop it down a bit every winter til it was worn and then put a new strip on there...if you know of some belt laying around somewhere...

What a treat Saturday is. First time i have ever been serenaded by a hillbilly with Emerson Lake and Palmer. I will have to hire somebody to help me enjoy all this, my cup runneith over. I enjoy projects like fabricating that gas can because i get a glimpse of how the sausage is made. Thanks Waylon, tell ol' Ken to have a great New Year.

If you were to buy the standard 80" blade @ $363 you will never buy a blade again. At the end of my working career, I worked for a municipality, with a population of 50'000 in CT and plowed parking lots and small streets on a 16 hour shift every time it snowed, using a similar plow setup. Plow blade was worn when I went to work there and the same blade was worn, but serviceable when I retired 7 years later. Just passing on my experience............ Edit: Never used the gliding feet either, they were gone when I got there. LOL

One good advantage to the present status of Phoenix, if you look directly to the right, or out of the right side of the windshield, or over your right shoulder out the rear window your vision of the edge of the road is not impaired.
