Where do I get all the bits to carry out this conversion? .

You can get a convertor module at J. Bauer Electronics: www.laserbeelpm.com/b2bl.html This new convertor has an onboard 300ohm resistor so you will not need a separate one, and also works with 3.7v or 5v. Most 2S (7.4v) ESCs with a BEC on them put out 5v. The receivers come with the plane or can be bought at places like AliExpress.com. It should work with any ESC and brushless motor.

Genius ! 😍🤩🎅 Next thing to do for me is finding all those parts, beside the v761 board or equivalent on my Eachine planes, and buying a soldering iron. Thanks a lot, Sir ! 😊👍

There’s a commercial possibility here, I for one would like some kind of pathway to achieve a brushless conversion and would pay for that and I bet I’m not alone in that, and the ability to repurpose these receivers in small planes/ gliders would be fantastic.

LASERSBEE over at the RCgroups forum is now offering converters for running brushless motors with V761 receivers found in Eachine and Volantex micro aircraft. Also works in the Top Race Sky Eagle and the Rage Super Cub MX. Product site link (B2BL convertor): www.laserbeelpm.com/products-other.html Demonstration video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/qXqu1I6tiJhen6g

I use 1108 6000Kv and 1204 6000Kv motors on 1S with great results. Those motors are usually marked 2S-3S, but high Kv motors are wound with less wire to reach a higher UNLOADED max. RPM, and so offer less resistance to current flow versus lower Kv-rated motors of equal size. Going by my experiments, 6000Kv to 7000Kv seems to be the sweet spot for 3.7v power. This is the performance you can expect with the 1108 6000Kv and a 7A 1S-2S ESC as seen in the converter video. Still using the stock P-51 2-blade prop and 400mAh 1S battery: kzitem.info/news/bejne/0q59rp9tp2uViWU

Interesting! Are you losing a channel to connect and control the brushless ESC?
@Doggeslife

Nope. It runs right off the brushed motor output, tapped into the PWM (pulse-width modulated) circuit that runs to the MOSFET. static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/3/9/2/3/9/7/a15656731-91-scousethief.updated.jpg A 3K ohm resistor connected between the + and - motor solder pads fools the brick into thinking it had a brushed motor attached. I had tried this over a year ago with a 5 ohm 10-watt ceramic resistor with no luck. With no motor attached the brick will not bind. m0t0rhead clued me in on using the 3000 ohm resistor instead. He suggested a 1/32nd to 1/16th watt resistor in his video, but I used a 1/2-watt resistor with no issues (all I had on hand). I do not know if TheSTEVE is still making the converters though. I bought 2 from him in mid-2020. The video link at the end leads to a how-to-make-a-converter video, but I have much to study up on first.. This is The STEVE's web-page for the unit (he is an RCgroups member): thesteve.ca/walkera/ This is the forum thread where I first learned of these converters: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?896564-Brushless-Vapor-Kyosho-Parkzone-brick

Does it work just by connecting a 3K resistor and a signal line?
@Doggeslife
11 ай бұрын
The resistor just fools the receiver into thinking a brushed motor is connected, else it will not bind to a transmitter. You still need the convertor to turn the brushed motor output into one an external ESC can recognize. I don't know if these convertors from "TheSTEVE" (at RCgroups.com) are still available, but you can get them now from J.Bauer Electronics ("Laserbee") at RCgroups.com: www.laserbeelpm.com/b2bl.html I demonstrate one here on a twin motor brick: kzitem.info/news/bejne/uYior5adjmueh6g

Greetings. I used three 1k ohm resistors connected in series to get 3k ohms just because I had them already, but you can use a single 3K ohm resistor if you wish. They are usually sold in quantities because they are so cheap, like this: www.amazon.com/Resistor-Carbon-Film-Ohm-Watt/dp/B00CHTLVG4/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1N7ZA09XI2HIS&keywords=3k+ohm+resistor+1%2F4+watt&qid=1663279298&sprefix=3k+ohm+resistor+1%2F4+watt%2Caps%2C161&sr=8-3 Shop around online and you might find some in smaller quantities for less. I miss having a Radio Shack nearby for that kind of purchase. Happy flying!

Hello, i am using a microcontroler with custom code, and its receiving 0 throttle every once in a while so the motor sounds like a nitro engine and the esc overloads. what can i do to fix this?

If it is custom programmed then I can't help because I don't know how it was coded, or even the brand and model name of the controller. Sorry.

No thank you. The A160 brick has severe rudder issues. The planes will suddenly kick over hard rudder and spin down. Most people remove the receivers in their A160s and put V761 or other RXs in them. I put 2S brushless Spektrum receivers in mine connected to an external 10S ESC so I could run a stronger motor than the stock one (I own two A160s). kzitem.info/news/bejne/lHljl5aCoaCofqQ

Hello! Do you think a 3,3k ohm resistor will work too?

3K = 3000 ohms. 3,3k = 33,000 ohms. Possibly not but you could always try. Maybe it will. I used three 1000 ohm (1K) resistors in series myself for a total of 3K.
