Nice MOD! I never use the Stunt Button anyway except to demonstrate it. See you in the Air!

Seems like a fantastic mod to do in the original tx, plus may I ask if you ever figured out how to do the stunt button mod for the tx16s at all, many thanks for sharing and best wishes from Alan in the UK 👍👍👍🤗🤗🤗

Thank you. It was an interesting idea. I do not have a TX16S to experiment with, sorry. They keep going up in price on me. ;-)

Hello, and thank you for your video. Do you know if the transmitter can be changed from Mode 2 to Mode 1? I realise after watching your video the is going to be some soldering work involved in regards to swapping the gimbals. But I am wondering if anything else should be changed? Thanks

Hello. I know some have done it. It did involve a lot of jumper wire soldering. It's trickier to do with these due to the toy-grade stick gimbals being mounted directly on the circuit board. Let me see if I can find it. again. Here ya go: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3800779-Eachine-warbird-series-400-mode-1-hack#post46270837

@@Doggeslife hello and thank you so very much for getting back to me so quickly I really appreciate that :). Thank you so very much for the link to how the mode change can be done. I would like to also switch the trims around. But I am unsure if jumpering wires is needed or do I just move the switches? I don't suppose you could help me with this as well? None the less thank you so very much for your time and trouble.

Got a question for you. Im using that receiver in a TopRc 450mm P51 and because it sits upright in this plane compared to being upside down in the Volantex Warbirds the controls are backward, which was easy enough to fix in TX16S, but lose the safe mode at the rudder/elevator. Was wondering, after the install, if the servo's can be reversed just by moving the MOTOR wires to opposite servo and also changing the polarity? Any idea if this will work? Good mod vid.

For reversing servos mechanically you must swap the two motor wires AND the two outer wires on the potentiometer inside that the servo uses to determine it's position. There are many videos showing how. kzitem.info?search_query=reversing+servos But this does not reverse gyro compensation if you use wing leveling. The gyro in receivers mounted upside down in the low wing 400mm warbirds only work properly in that inverted orientation. It cannot be reversed. For upright mounting you need the identical receiver from the Sport Cub 500. The inverted bricks for low wing warbirds are marked 76105 or higher (76106, 76107, etc). The upright brick for the Sport Cub is 76104. There are several such bricks that look identical but have different programming. This is an example of the one you need if you are mounted the brick with servos on the top: www.morrisminimotors.com/jp-receiver-with-gyro-and-surface-mounted-servos-for-sport-cub-500.html Some variations on this receiver show here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/lol4q6CHgYt_iH4

@@Doggeslife Hey, thanks for the info on that receiver. The P40 Warhawk receiver works just find, though I had to make the rudder servo operate the elevator and elevator servo operate the rudder. The servo direction was fine on both. As in up was up and left was left on those surfaces. I understand the reversing servo process and what needs to be done. My question involves connecting the rudder servo, (MOTOR WIRES), to the elevator servo at, (CIRCUIT BOARD), and vise-versa. Because the other servo is already reversed, it seems (MAYBE), that connecting the motor wires from (OTHER) servo would allow that servo to be the rudder or elevator without having to do that in controller. Understanding that the plane would go into safe inverted, I thought it would be cool. Can't do that now because the receiver will operate the elevator as the rudder. I obviously don't use safe mode now for that reason. But, now that I've thought about it more, I think the elevator would be compensating in the wrong direction anyway as the plane is inverted...Oh well, I think I'll have to get one of those Cub receivers if I don't have to invert the rudder with elevator to work on the TopRC P51..Can't remember offhand, if it's correct right now.

Actually, the elevator would compensate either way to maintain level flight, so I don't think it matters that up is down, and down is up.

I'm no expert at flying RC airplanes. I bought a sim and been flying the VTOL type aircraft around. I have this mini mustang. But haven't flown it yet. But was thinking that it would be hard to have to hold that button down while flying. I would think a 2 position switch would be easier. It just wouldn't be as fast as the momentary button. If you fly higher up you would have more time. I think i just asked and answered my question. Great info on your channel!! Subed..

It's easier than it appears, since your hand does not have to change position holding the TX...You just extend your finger. The 3-position toggle is already sufficient for recovery at high altitude. Just another option for those who may want it. Happy flying!

I have it it is truly a dud ! massive tail heavy 4 minute fly time slow even added weight to nose would give it a 5 out of 10 .

How is a button faster than a switch?
@Doggeslife
Жыл бұрын
You hold down the spring-loaded button with your left index finger to fly in manual mode. Switching back to assist mode if you get in trouble is as fast as letting go of the button. Otherwise you have to let go of the right stick (elevator and ailerons), reach for the switch and then click it back into stabilized mode, then grab the stick again to regain control.

Just did this and it’s a game changer actually. Switches and the the battery wires just plug into the board on the newer version volantex transmitters making this mod a snap. Highly recommend this mod 😎👍
