The auger is a narrowed unit that was originally designed for a full width high horsepower tractor application. The impeller or second stage was also reworked in terms of size. The video doesn’t do it justice. ( I have chucked trailer parts, frozen newspapers across the neighbourhood and broken shovels have met their maker with this thing without even a shear pin yet) But you are correct, it’s all in the second stage!

ya probable can't go more than 3000, or 4000, or even 5000 RPM, but the real thing is torque. You got a lot of horse power, a lot of foot-pounds,. The way to utilize that is increase the drive pulley, (maybe add a second set of pulleys and belt, to handle the greater load) You really need a much faster blower RPM to remove the amount of snow that that engine can handle. Said you were pushing 2600 RPM now. Double the drive pulley would like double blower speed like you were doing 5200 RPM. Better yet if you could Triple the drive pulley, make it like 7800 RPM. If you were doing 126 foot throw, with triple the exit speed, you'd be doing 378 foot throw ...... that would be like "Ripleys Believe It Or Not" throw. You'd have serious power there. You're probably using 10 maybe 15 Hp there, if ya doubled the RPM you'd be using the cube, maybe 8 times the Hp. If tripled, the cube would be 27 times the Hp or 270 Hp. That's about the size of that engine. Further you'd be moving down the driveway three times faster. Damn Son, that's Serious Blowing. Wanna see that. Wouldn't take much. Larger pulley, larger belt, larger belt cover. Danm. Doit Doit Doit. Thanks. Really Might need to balance the auger 'n' blower a little bit so it doesn't shake itself apart, but wouldn't it be glorious?WOW! I see that auger really is moving pretty fast, and therefore the blower too. I see the drive pulley is rather large, guess you've used a lot of the Hp there. just saw the video again. Nice Job. Seriously. Cudos From New Jersey.
