Not sure I believe in gunk accumulating to that level in the tank over time. That would mean no vehicle with 300k miles could run because 1/8 of the tank would be gunk. The mechanism in the Jeep is good at keeping stuff from clogging the first filter, but if the filter is completely submerged in gunky stuff no amount of vortex will keep it clean. I much rather think that you somehow picked up a bunch of dirt in the fuel system by tossing the Jeep into a puddle on it's side. Was the tank ever dropped and cleaned after the accident? I think there's fuel tank vents somewhere and they might be more of the culprit when you go take a lopsided swim in a Jeep. Well, just a guess. A independent ducted heater on a thermostat is such a gamechanger. I put a gas version in my little trailer and it turns condensation disaster camping into cozy dry camping. Happy to invest the surprisingly low fuel consumption of these things. The only thing I'd wish for is these heaters to be silent, but hey, better a bit of fan noise than being cold or having condensation drip down on you.

Is the pick up tube for heater was mounted too low inside the tank? Lower than engine pick-up? It should be at 1/4 tank level to prevent running dry-even though you have an auxiliary tank-most people don't. Is your engine fuel filter clogged? If a fuel sample was taken through both engine and heater pick-up, you could easily tell if one was sucking off the bottom. That large particulate filter won't stop much and the heater seems pretty sensitive. I'm wondering why an in-line filter is not standard equipment?

Have you ever considered using MTM cases? They are on Amazon but they are made in Dayton, Ohio if you're going that way. Three sizes MTM, ACR 5, ACR 8 and ACR 12. Also can be seen used by others on KZitem with Jeeps, traveling. I noticed that you extended the inside heater vent. Have you considered extending the exhaust in some way when you're parked? I would be a bit concerned that the vehicle exhaust is for a moving vehicle and that is close to or under the Jeep overnight? Final question. Small trailer? M416 or similar? Thank you for the channel! Be Safe.

Glad they put a fuel filter in there, I was about to recommend one. Without it, it would happen again. Time will tell how bad the gas is and how frequently you have to replace them, but at least it should stop the big nasty stuff. For the heat, maybe consider pipe with just a couple T's in it to disperse the heat. Think of it like forced air for a home. Not an HVAC person but you might have to test different sized T's for optimal air flow. Just a quick thought I had.
