Beautiful video. It's strange since I was raised in Vernon and visited Kelowna often, but seldom traveled farther south than that, but this video makes me think I never knew or saw much of the valley I loved and lived in many long years ago. Left in 1962 to Arizona. I think the wine industry really flourished after I left. As a kid, I worked for the forest service up at Manning Park. I'm surprised that you went through that. I thought the avalanche many years ago wiped out the highway. Maybe the park is a side road now.?? There was a forest ranger from the station there who claimed that he chased a black bear down the highway at 50 MPH! So many memories.

Glad I brought back some old memories. Every year for about 25 years I would go up to Osoyoos to visit my parents in the summer. They have passed on now so I don’t go up every year. Yes there was a slide in Hope many years ago. We have always taken the crows nest highway which goes all the way from Hope, through Manning park then to Penticton and Osoyoos. The Coquihalla Highway goes to Kelowna so we would have to backtrack to go back to Osoyoos. I have lots of great memories of Osoyoos. Love the balmy nights and the hot weather. Cute little town. The wineries definitely took off in the Oliver region and further north in Naramata. Funny story about the bear and the man running. Now, I want to take another road trip!

It puts a smile on my face that I have inspired you to create. Yeah! I would love to have more sunny days and less rain so envious of all your sunshine in Florida! But yes I do live in a beautiful place with gorgeous views.
