Hi Kerry-Lou, I am so happy too hear that you are feeling better after your surgery and have no more pain. I so appreciate this three part video series. It is so helpful and you presented these subjects in such a nice way. I just turned 60 yesterday, and I feel like I am in a new kind of adolescence. I felt the same way when I was about 40. So many things in life and in my body at that time were changing and I had to really stop and take stock of my health and wellbeing. I feel this again now, very strongly. I want to experience this time of life with some vibrancy energy and creativity. I find myself with things I want to say and express. I am looking forward to my 60's. I appreciate your advice very much as it has helped the pain that I was experiencing. It also gave me the courage to know how to open up a good dialog with my doctor. Have a wonderful day!

Thanks for sharing this, Dalisa! First, Happy Birthday to you! I know exactly what you mean about those landmark years where you re-think how you're living. It's so important to do that; We do change - so how we eat, exercise, think, and love, has to change also! I wish you many years of expressing yourself with creativity and vibrancy - you have put that out into the universe, and it will happen! Best, KL xx

Kerry-Lou, Thank you for these videos. It's a shame that no one talks about the things that we woman would like to hear about and join the conversation. You shared a lot of information, I'm hoping that those that have trouble in this area will seek help. At 78 and a widow I'm inactive but I have my toys!!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!! I love that you are not afraid to talk about these issues that us older women have to deal with. Please keep them coming. I am post-menopausal and now experiencing heart issues. I didn’t know this could be such an issue for post-menopausal women. I was wondering if your Gynecologist would consider doing a video with you answering questions from us. I think that would be a great video. Thank you again. ❤

You're welcome Barbara, thanks for tuning in! I'm sorry about your having heart issues, and I hope you have a good treatment plan. You know, I was hinting around at that the last time I saw my doctor, and she didn't pick up the hint. Perhaps I will write her and ask her out-right, it's a good idea! Wishing you all the best of health! 🌸

Hello hello Gorgeous Kerry Lou... Look at you as always glowing . I am loving these videos, so much relevant information, which even your doc doesn't give. And i love those toys...in India getting this in chemist shop is next to impossible but yes... Amazon it is... I fall in that single girl bracket as my partner could not even understand me going through my menopause. Rightfully, single or not one should take care of your body, bec happy body keeps your mind happy. Bravo to you, one daring youtuber helping us.. You never stop to amaze me Kerry Lou.. Thank you so much.... Sending you warm hugs and loads of positive energies 💕💕💕💕

Thank you, what a wonderful video. Too often we are afraid to talk about our 'vagina' & issues surrounding sex & intimacy especially as we approach 60 & beyond; I resisted using a topical estriol cream for months but now so pleased that I started, such positive results & no more discomfort. You ladies are all amazing. ❤

Thank you so much Kerry-Lou! I would highly recommend to read “ Come as you are” book by Dr. Emily Nagoski. Totally changed the way I love myself, also sexually speaking. I learnt so many things about my female body and how to enjoy it with myself and my husband. I wish I would had read it 30 years ago. She also participates in a Netflix documentary” The principles of pleasure “ that is very interesting to see. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I really want to share about this book. Have a great day!

Oh my sister has had Lichen Sclerosis since her menopause and she's now 68. She was told that its brought on by trauma to the area. Well if childbirth isn't trauma, I don't know what is! She manages it with estrogen cream I think. I personally am really interested in knowing more about the MonaLisa Touch laser treatment for vaginal atrophy. It would be wonderful if you could cover that.

I have only watched half the video and it's beautiful. I am married but don't have sex nearly as much as I should. I've always been super uptight about masturbating. I'm 69. Last year I had lipo and tummy tuck. I just had a breast lift and reduction yesterday! Thank you for your video.

Thanks for sharing, I hope your feeling great after the surgery. Unfortunately, most of us have had a lot of negativity thrown at us regarding masturbation, it can be difficult to "reprogram" yourself. Perhaps approach it as a massage, don't even think of it as sexual, (don't have any goals in mind) and see what happens! I hope the surgery gives you a confidence boost and will affect your sex life positively!

Hello, Kerry-Lou. I’m wondering if you or anyone in the comments section have had adverse reactions after using estradiol. I had to discontinue use after several months because of irritation. My gynecologist thinks I may have had an allergic reaction to it because it contains propylene glycol. She recalled another patient with the same issue. Also, have you or anyone in the comments experienced severe hot flashes while aroused or during orgasm? I thought my body was going to spontaneously combust and had to stop my activity. 🥵
@kerrylou3
Жыл бұрын
Hi Lisa, Thanks for your comment. I have been using the Estradiol Cream for a few months, and haven't had an adverse reaction to it, but it's good for women to be on the lookout for that! Regarding the hot flashes during arousal, I think that any situation that would normally get you a little warm, those darn hot flashes make it ten times worse! My hot flash period didn't last for very long, I know women whose life is made miserable because of them. I hope they pass soon for you 🌸

There are three main types of estrogen: estradiol, estrone and estriol. Estriol is the only one that DOES NOT cause cancer. It is also the only one that prevents vaginal dryness. [Platt's Wellness Bio-Identical Estriol] is a good choice 👍🏿🙏🏿

Hi Kerry-lou,you are so brave to talk about this issue,I have posterior fourchette tears too during sex with pain , planning to get pregnant,what is the surgery that you did and has been completely pain free without any tear for you after the surgery? Thank you so much
@kerrylou3

Hi, so sorry that I missed your comment here. My surgery was very successful, with no more pain. I do suggest that since you are planning on becoming pregnant, you speak to an absolute expert in this area. In the book that I listed in the video description, there are lists of resources to help you find someone in your area that can help you. The operation was called a perineorrhaphy, but I have to say that it was kind of customised to my needs. Many people have a perineorrhaphy to "rejuvenate" the vulva - it wasn't that, but that was my doctors training for many years (in NYC) so I was in good hands. You may not even NEED surgery, it's very important that someone speak to you about what exactly you have, and your options. Wishing you luck and happiness! (Feel free to reach out via my email address in the video description if you would like to discuss further)
