Episode Speakers: Dr Alok Bajpai, Dr Urvashi Sahni, Rupali Chandra, Chitra Mohan, Mridula Bharadwaj,
The opening statement which has not been recorded specifically mentioned that the forum does not support ban on any creative work. Rather the attempt is to make the creative process interactive and establish a dialogue between the creator and audience.
Post Lucknow show, Saakar , an NGO engaged in theatre, organised a discussion where only audience of the play was invited to discuss the play. Amongst the speakers only two had not been part of the audience, but both are otherwise well established name in theatre & literature. Ms Mahabanoo Kotwal-Mody was contacted on mail & phone and was requested to participate in the discussion personally or depute someone, else mail a statement which could be read out at the beginning. At first she asked for air-fare, which we declined, then she questioned the very purpose of the exercise. We explained that it was an attempt to break away from the traditional method of protesting against a creative work with which one might not agree, instead establish a dialogue, but to no avail. Even the organiser of the play in Lucknow, Mr Bhupesh Rai did not turn up for discussion inspite of repeated reminders on phone. Recently Ms Dolly Thakore, a member of the cast, during a visit to Lucknow, asked for the recording of the event, which was provided promptly. But the people associated with the play have not given feedback or established any dialogue ever since.
