Thanks for watching! And I'm curious to see how the Vanguard turns out. I was considering picking one up, especially when you could get the free missile rack with it. But for me, it was the size. Between the HISS, the Dragonfly coming, POSSIBLY the Rattler, plus the HMS and all the small pocket vehicles, there was just no more room for something like the Vanguard. I actually considered buying one and painting it Cobra blue. Using it as the Cobra version of the Beast and making it the Commander's transport.

Like you, I don't actively collect Valaverse. I buy figures I like, or that I want to use with my Classified display. The one exception is The Swarm. I bought my first Swarm figure a couple months ago, and I'm hooked on them now. I don't really want the entire rainbow of colors, but I love the design. I'm building an army of Swarm Sentry troopers for my ground guys, and Swarm Tracers for my air troopers. With that said, I am stoked for the Swarm Locust. I love the design. I've always loved the ornithopter (?) from Dune, so that design is right up my alley. It's also small enough to work into my display. I like Trigger, but I'm not goo-goo over him. He's basically a knockoff Rock n Roll. I'll probably grab him though, since I like military looking figures. He'll make a good Delta operator. I like the special Pretorian too. It would look good with my Tracers. If that things ends up glowing in the dark, I'm going to grab several. I like the head packs, hand packs, and the backpack set. I know I'll get those. The Vanguard is too big for me to get. I also don't like the SUV look, I prefer the more military look of say the VAMP. The add-ons do make it look better. I do want to point out Vala's hypocrisy. He has attacked Gridiron several times, but now he's basically copying their style of products. I usually ignore his BS, but that was the first thing I thought of when I saw the add-on sets, and truthfully it soured my opinion on them. I have no interest in a pink vehicle! Lol! It's cool for everyone that likes it, but I can't stand pink, not due to anything mocho, I just hate pink. It looks like a Pepto Bismol company vehicle. I don't like Pandora, so neither of the new versions interest me. I also don't like bloodied up figures. I'm not squeamish, but having been a career law enforcement officer, I've seen enough blood to last me the rest of my life. I know it's a part of war, but I'm not really into it. I admittedly groaned when I saw his excitement for the statue. Lol! I've never had any inetrest in that kind of stuff. I pre-ordered the night ops Senshi. I'm going to swap his head out too. I think the makeup looks more like over-the-top drag queen makeup, than it does cool samurai makeup. I'm not sure how I feel about the flocked heads. I typically don't like cloth goods at this scale, and I kind of look at that in the same light. I'm just not sure how it would blend in with regular six inch figures. You know me, I'm excited for the weapons pack. The AK-74 with GP-5 grenade launcher, and the HK G3 rifle are the ones I like the most. Valaverse is really all over the place with the bad guys. I don't read comics, so maybe it makes sense in their comics, but from a toyline standpoint, it's like he creates an enemy and then abandons it for the next idea. Looking at the Swarm's filecards, even their leader's name is blackout. It's like he just comes up with a cool looking bad guy, and then he can't come up with a full background/story for them. Like I said, it may be explained in the comics. Overall, I think all of this really helps Wave 5, which was pretty lackluster when first revealed.

I didn't know he threw shade at Gridiron. They're both indie companies I figured they'd be trying to boost each other up. I only watch the videos like this one for the reveals, so I've never really heard him talk about much else. Other than Hasbro. He talks about Hasbro all the time. The Swarm figures are cool, I have one of them - the BotCon exclusive, I think he's called a Mantis Trooper - but my thing is that I have so much invested in Cobra Troopers & Officers that I don't want to sink into another army builder like that. Like I have 2 or 3 of each of the various Vipers and B.A.T.S., but the the Officers & Troopers are the ones that I really built out for my Cobra team. The Locust however, that thing is COOL! And I could see them adding something like that to the vintage line, replacing the Fang, flying support for the Mamba. If I army build anything from AF, it will probably be the Garrison Calvary. Sometimes I think they look cool...and other times I think they just look like they have a bucket on their head. LOL I think you nailed it about Senshi. It DOES look more like makeup than face paint. When the samurai would wear face paint, they typically had a white foundation that covered their entire face, so that it filled in the large blank spots between the colored war paint. Without that white foundation, the whole thing looks off. He should have added a white base to the face paint, OR actually given him an Oni mask and painted up the mask and horn attachments for his helmet. I get what they trying to do with Senshi, but it's not working. I don't read the comics either, which is probably why I don't know who the bad guys are either. I think there's something like 3 or 4 factions now? Action Force, the Swarm, the Garrison, and now, I think, the Crimson Shadows? And I feel like the only reason the Crimson Shadows were finally brought in was because of Fresh Monkey's Crimson Moon line. And man...if that translucent green Praetorian DOES glow in the dark...I may change my mind about picking one of those up!

@@BrickIntyre Totally agree, I just collect Valaverse for the Steel Brigade and kitbashing, but the Swarm design is awesome. I love Gridiron, and I'm sure they could have had great vehicle collaborations with Valaverse. If people could just focus on putting out good product instead of running their mouths trying to be celebrities.
