Andy, brilliant as ever. Ever thought of putting out a "wish list" video? I'm sure you have some ideas for pedals that aren't out there, I bet you could come up with a truly unique pedal. All the best, please keep up with the great videos!

Second demo I've seen of this, Andy being our pedal Yoda, of course. The other demo was on 60 Cycle Hum and they both show you the variety of viciousness, doominess, wickedness and desecration that this 380 box can deliver. I suppose, that makes each side worth 190 apiece, with the ability to mix them, reconfigure them and interject things an interesting bonus (the benefit of conjoined pedals but with the option to treat as distinct pedals in a chain, also seems kind of like a modular unit.) Anyway, top dollar, but top holler!

@bla_blub

It sounds amazing in every setting, but why did they decide to put the input and the fuzz on the left side and the output and drive on the right side? It's standard that the signal flows from right to left. I thought that it might be a hommage to Lovetone pedals but even they did it the "right" way.

The labeling on the patch jacks is confusing - “fuzz out” and “drive in” would seem to indicate standard fuzz-into-drive signal flow, not the reverse.
@AndyDemos
3 жыл бұрын
It is wired left to right: Fuzz into Drive, so the Fuzz Out and Drive In make sense if you want to place something in between the signal flow (left to right) or reverse the order. Here's the complete scoop from Eastwood: The FUZZ and DRIVE sections are completely independent and can be used singly or in tandem. Each has its own input and output jack. By default, the FUZZ comes before the DRIVE, with the internal bypass within the “DRIVE IN” jack feeding FUZZ output into DRIVE input without need of an external patch cable. You can place the DRIVE ahead of the FUZZ by plugging the input signal into the “DRIVE IN” jack, connecting a patch cable from “OUTPUT” to “INPUT”, and taking the output from the “FUZZ OUT” jack. Using all four jacks, you can patch the two effects independently into any positions you wish within your pedalboard.

@@AndyDemos Okay, thanks! Not an obvious patch, you have to unplug the guitar and plug into the "drive in." I just assumed a single jumper made the switch.

If you were going to recreate this using 2 common pedals (1 fuzz + 1 drive), what would get you the closest?
@AndyDemos
2 жыл бұрын
The pedals they're going after (Lovetone) aren't exactly common. That being said, there have been some recent Lovetone-inspired pedals like the Thorpy Field Marshal fuzz and Bunker drive. Also, JHS has their own take on the fuzz in the Cheese Ball. In general, you want a fairly gated fuzz tone that sputters out and a Marshall style overdrive, so search accordingly and you might find a close pair. Sometimes the fuzz circuit can be quite similiar to a Big Muff when not in the starved mode. Good luck!
