I take valium everyday and am currently use it along with gabapentin, marijuana, klonopin and hydroxyzine to detox off suboxone. I was addicted to opiates but my habit got too expensive so I switched to valium and xanax due to their cheap price and easy availability. Theyre very addicting.

I've had addiction problems with class A, s but I have to say my addict to valuim ( a legal drug).... Have caused me more distress in mind, body & soul. I couldn't socialise I couldn't look ppl in the eyes without them.... I know other addicts who have the same side effects. And this can go on for months.. If it was upto me VALUIM would be taking off the market.

Your bang on, herion & valuim become hand in hand. I live in "Dundee" where atm is " the drug death capital of Europe". My addicted started at 21 & I was addicted to class A, s & valium. I'm now clean 5yrs. I have ptsd. Buid rather live with that than " in active addiction. Now I've learnt so much about addiction through my own experiences & others. Society needs to realise that it's an illness. & stop giving out methadone. Why not some subutex or naltrexone ect... ( I know coz it's more expensive)... But I'm sure if an addict was to be prescribed e.g naltrexone & a prescription of going out into nature , along with therapeutic methods like acupuncture. ( that has been proven to significantly improve the person's health. With access to a physciatric or psychology. I nstead of putting ppl into prison & the root cause is addiction. Using all the taxpayers money. To house, feed & give medical care. ( a dettox). Then ppl get out & not a things addressed. So the addict falls back into what they always knew. & so it continues.

Unfortunately for me I have abused benzodiazepines to the point where even two years later, all this time I haven’t taken a single one, my tolerance is so high it does absolutely nothing for me. I’m prescribed Valium to take daily but it’s more of a mental thing, I have to tell myself it’s working because I don’t feel any effects at all.. I miss it and I’ve even considered buying grapefruit juice as I’ve read it can enhance the side effects of benzos. The only drug that can make everything go away and leave you with a feeling that nothing can harm you. For people with low tolerance or who haven’t used benzos before, please be careful! It’s the most addictive out of all the drugs I have tried. (Basically all). God bless 🙏

Is it worse than heroin?
@mattrobichaud6760
2 жыл бұрын
@@EmmaDeFazio5938 Well I have done Heroin before, though I have never injected (in general I’ve never injected drugs before) So I have smoked and snorted it. I have also done Fentanyl, which is way more addictive, both the patches, I have chewed them and snorted the powder… My honest opinion, Benzodiazepines are the most dangerous… Because, while yes, the opioids are highly addictive, and definitely have the potential to make you “not feel anything”, in my experience, the benzodiazepine class was the most dangerous. I say this because when you first start benzodiazepines, it literally makes all of your problems vanish.. Opioids not so much (that’s for me). And when I came off the Benzodiazepines, it was a nightmare! I mean I’m talking about my brain feeling like it was on fire! And I would have these small seizures that lasted short, about a couple of seconds. Muscle twitching that does not stop. So for a period of a couple of months, I had become insomniac, delusional, paranoid, I mean the literal definition of torture is how I would describe coming off of the benzodiazepines… I was suicidal, and I tried a couple of times to take my own life. Doctors had me locked up in the mental ward. I mean from the way it makes all of your problems go away, to the detoxification process, it has got to be #1 or #2 of the most dangerous drugs you can take. I have since gotten over the withdrawals (thank god) 😂 And my body has built a sort of “permanent tolerance” to Valium, Xanax, Clonazepam, Ativan, etc… So I take Valium now ‘when needed’ but I don’t get the effects at all really, and when I don’t take them for a period of weeks at a time I don’t get any withdrawals. I think that’s my body telling me that I had abused them so badly that the tolerance just never ‘went back to normal’… And I am thankful that I don’t have to endure that again. At least I hope I won’t.. My final word I suppose, it depends on the person and the situation in which one decides to use these kinds of medications to “cope with their problems”. I mean yes, obviously if we are talking the dangers of overdosing, then Heroin or opioids is #1. Benzodiazepines, you can’t really overdose on them… It’s quite hard actually. You would have to mix a bunch with say heroin or OxyContin, etc.. Then your CRS would shut down, and you would slip into a coma or respiratory depression… But, in my own experience, and I’ve had friends tell me also that they feel the same way, the benzodiazepines are much worse than Opioids. It won’t be the same for everybody, of course. But that’s my own experience, and I’ve had friends tell me the same as well. Sorry to go in such depth and detail, just wanted to explain how benzodiazepines are different from opioids, and how just because they aren’t necessarily as dangerous in the way of overdosing for example, they still have probably the worst detoxing experience out of any drug. Look up on google or watch some videos about the stories of people who have unfortunately took their own lives because of these drugs. I could have easily been one of them. And I am extremely grateful to be alive, although I do get depressed from time to time. Please be cautious with these drugs. Definitely NEVER mix them… And take care!

It's an addictive substance that will make your a permanent patient; I don't recommend valium for anxiety. Try any non benzodiazepine unless you have daily seizures and it's a requirement. I heard one of the family members who own the oxycontin rights was initially involved in the marketing of diazepam (i.e., chemical name for Valium (trade name to Roche)) to housewives for psychic tension back in the 1960s. The Sackler family is the name but they know how to make money.

Valium shouldn't ne used as a long term solution. Just like recreational drugs you build a tolerance. You can start with 2mg and work your way up to 10mg and next thing you know you're physically and mentally addicted. Valium is a good drug to have and take them once in a while.
