I have spent several days camping in the VOTG on a couple of occasions, it's a long drive from my home (Vancouver, British Columbia) but well worth the trip. Thanks for the video, it was great to rekindle old memories.

Moki Dugway and the valley of the gods. House on fire. How about Riverhouse? Lived in Moab for seven years. Great places to visit. Also a similar goosenecks river bend just below Dead Horse Point on the Potash road; which connects inside Canyonlands (Island in the Sky District) to a better switch back than Moki Dugway....Shafer Trail.

What is the legality of the use of a drone there?
@cartermoses4136
25 күн бұрын
Great question, I always search the areas for hours before I go to know. The simple answer is this is all BLM land and that means you’re good to fly as long as you’re respectful of course. I use Gaia a mapping app that tells you private land, BLM, wilderness, and everything you would need to know, you can also use it offline to always know what land you’re on. I highly recommend getting your drone certification, the test will teach you so much in what you need to know before you fly
@cartermoses4136

I chose this spot specifically for BLM land, as I didn’t have to worry about drone flying legalities

Maybe you purposely aren't sharing gps coordinates, roads or locations... if not on purpose, I know I'd appreciate some type of general location info. Looks like your overlook was somewhere near Goosenecks overlooking San Juan River, but not clear 🤷♂️

@@thomza It is with the dji mini 3 pro, but I had to edit a ton out as the gimble would turn almost sideways depending on how the wind hit the drone. Still I have crashed that drone more than 30+ times and its still working haha. Find me on instagram and I will DM you

@@cartermoses4136 That's good to know. I have a mini 3 Pro and the original mavic air. I usually pull out the mavic air when the wind is high due to it being heavier and more stable. Plus if I lose the mavic air I won't feel as bad.

Hey man, I am trying to inspire you to go find spots like this the right way. I have had a lot of people give me a hard time not giving the area away. The whole process/experience is to be inspired and get out on your own adventures. If you really want that spot you will find it just by searching the general area of my video. You man not like my response, but if you google earth the areas you will find way more potential than you ever thought was out there. To me this is a special thing and you can inspire yourself doing this.
