The dream talk was great! I always have dreams (nightmare) about my previous job. I would be working in a restaurant with a bunch of people who are sitting around impatiently waiting for someone to take their orders, and I’m the only server 😵💫 The other common one I have is my teeth falling out, I just accept it and think to myself that I’ll eventually get dentures 😅 There are also times I fly in my dreams, I’m able to basically do a handstand and walk around like that. I can jump up and float for a bit, and there’s times I can go higher but if I think too much about flying, I slowly start getting lower to the ground 🫤

That dream discussion is interesting. My experience is, a lot of times, in a dream (especially a nightmare), i would spot absurd things like 'wait, i already did this before, or it is impossible to do this simple task, or this would never happen in real life". And when I realize it is a dream, i do not wake up. So my only option is to find a cliff, which is almost always nearby, and jump off of it. That's the only way to wake up.

Hearing their lucid dreams reminded me of a come-to-Jesus dream I had years ago (I'm an atheist). It was a dream where I walked out of my house and was walking down a street until I made my way to a church. I stepped in to see some people in the pews and a person looking like they were giving a sermon. So I sat down and took another look and realized the person up front was a lady with porcelain-like skin. She looked at me and told me everything would be okay. I looked around and all the people in the pews suddenly had warped/distorted faces and were yelling, wondering why I could speak to her. I left the church and walked back home. On my way back I hear a voice at my side asking me "have you thought of a nickname for me yet?" I look over to my right and see a young boy, dark skinned, curly-ish hair holding my hand. I felt as if I knew him and replied "no, not yet". As he and I return home, my family is apparently readying a big dinner and my grandmother ushers me to the backyard, where a long white table is set. The boy goes over and sits at the seat at its very center and I sit to his right. Immediately, I wake up from that dream with tears going down my face. TLDR; I had a whack Jesus dream where I woke up crying.

When I used to lucid dream it was different archetypes. Sometimes it'd be 1st person going with the flow of a random setting. There were GM/game master type of various strengths. There were times where all I could do was do tangent points, like rewind the dream and run a different scenario again and again waking up irl when there would be too many superimposed "images" for my brain to keep track of. Then there were the adventure types, where I'm awake in the dream with full control of everything. Generally tho I want to follow the story/plot of the dream currently on the way. Stopped when it transitioned into more and more paralyzed in limbo mornings. Waking up aware but still not in control, afraid that I'll be stuck, the awareness of every nerve in my body but feeling like my commands just won't catch, getting more and more franting for anything to catch, to open my eyes, to jerk awake or for a finger to move. After a while it got to the point where the fear that I'll be stuck and then feel my breathing slow an d my heart stop fully awake in a dead shell.

I never thought about turning the lights on and off to test if it's a dream, even though often when I do recognize that I'm dreaming it's because the light is wrong. Or because I can't read whatever I'm trying to read. That's a great idea! Most of the time when I realize I'm in a dream it's because something impossible happens and breaks my suspension of disbelief. Luckily I don't have Lily's problem! I can just be like, "Oh, this is a dream. Great! Time to fly!" and then I just start flying. Once I realize I'm in a dream, I realize it doesn't have to make sense and can do whatever I want. lol

21:00 You can induce lucid dreaming by letting your body fall to sleep, while keeping conscious. You can keep conscious by focusing on changing the colours in your mind. You will be able to create vivid ones. This will cause you to fall into sleep paralysis, but don't be afraid as you know its not real. Then you can either do two things to step into the lucid dream state. 1: Feel the downward pressure and sink through your mattress (Ignore anything your hear or feel). 2: Concentrate on creating a portal to literally step into your dream. 3: Ask any sleep paralysis spirit to become your dream guide, ask it to show you how to lucid dream (You cannot fear it) Now you are lucid dreaming, use a reality check to check if you are in a dream (blow into your nose, facial hair, clothes) (There is no way to avoid the demons, it is a natural response from our brain to what we are experiencing) This is the pill to lucid dream on will.

I've given up trying to force lucid dreaming. Most of the time for me I end up in sleep paralysis and it freaks me out. For me the most common times I end up lucid dreaming is a repeat nightmare. Sometimes I'll have a nightmare repeat after many years and generally at the end Im able to take over the dream and beat what ever monster is in the dream (it's pretty nice to turn the tides of the dream. There has only been one lucid dream where I was able to fly. I was in the body of superman and somehow suddenly just understood why pushing your hands forward as superman made you fly faster. It was surreal but only lasted a very short amount of time before I was woken up.

28:45 I had this dream where I felt a white-haired pale woman rake her nails down my face, and I could feel it. I could feel the nails, her touch and I screamed but when I woke up there was no mark and my mom who was in the other room said she didn't hear me at all and ofc there were no nail marks on my face. The other dream I had was where before sleeping I knew no one was home and my mom had said goodbye to me before leaving, but while I was dreaming I was talking to my mom, having a full-blown conversation but after a while, I realised wait a minute no one is supposed to be home...my mom left after saying bye to me....and I started panicking and trying to move a lot but I couldn't move a muscle, I tried to get up but couldn't at all. I've had countless ofch incidents where I couldn't move in real life but it feels like I was thrashing and falling I knew in real life I wasn't moving but at that same point of time I was thrashing and falling in my dream and countless other incidents where I was screaming on top of my lungs but no voice would be heared by anyone else, once my mom was beside me and told me how I didn't say a word while I swore I was screaming. I don't know why but when lily explained her experience it made me teary-eyed, everyone I told these stories either thought it was due to my anxiety meds, one of my aunts even contacted an "experienced ghost exorcist woman" (?), lmao, even though I knew about sleep paralysis it feels nice hearing a story that sounds exactly as my experience. After watching this I had an encrypted dream. I was visiting a small town in China at night. The people there seemed to be weary of something but no one could tell me of what. They were so frightened they held secret courses underground specifically practicing how to get out of being tied up. Another mystery about this town was everyday a group of 10-12 people would jog in and out of this dark forest with a piece of paper taped to their faces with a question mark on it. This group had an elderly leader without a paper mask and a young adult man also without a paper mask. They were father and son. When approached they didn’t speak and their group would run along without them causing the person stopped to panic and to sprint back to the group. The elderly man never stopped for you but the younger man would stop but only would look behind you and point and say, “She’s right there!” and run away with the jogging group into the forest. When I would turn around all I saw was the back of her head with black hair, 2 inches from my face because her head was on backwards then she would vanish into smoke in a second. Somehow I figured out if you can see her then you will die and in order to break the curse I had to solve this puzzle on this cobble stone wall deep in the forest but I didn’t know chinese so I was finding translation stones in this abandoned park but I woke up before I could solve it 😭 I wish I could remember what the message said so when I woke up I could write it down and someone could translate it for me! I don’t watch scary movies so it was really freaky to me.
