I appreciate SO much that you are kind and cognizant of your surroundings and community. I was just recently really bothered by a pair of US van dwellers who laughed at breaking the fire permit rules in the redwoods near me. I tried to explain that the permit is free and basically just info on fire safety. He deleted my comments 3x then deleted that video. I’ve been impacted by wildfires 2x and am still upset over them. You are a man of integrity Chrome. Safe travels.👍

I told him that all he had to say was “My bad, I didn’t realize that it was that easy. We now have a permit.” But no, they had to go the shady route. Overall, I feel the Van community is very eco and community conscious so when these folks pop up it is not only seriously disappointing but (like Chrome says) it reflects negatively on others too. They’ve moved north into Oregon now, sorry to Oregon. _Edited to remove the portion of my response to first reply which the person has now deleted._

That 03:30 wake up wouldn’t be a dog wake up by any chance? Our labradoodle girl used to wake up then absolutely reliably. And mum (me) would let her out in the garden. Then she would like to sleep on the patio for a bit. And then we’d go back to bed. She died on 2nd January age 10 of a very aggressive cancer neither we nor our vet had any idea was there. I still miss her like crazy and would gladly do the 03:30 get up stint every morning!!!!!

Very considerate of you for pulling out at the very first chance and I wish more people would do that! I learned that lesson myself when I nearly hit the ditch for seconds sleep (is that the right term in English? Sorry if not but you get the idea). Never again! I'd rather miss an appointment by getting in another hour or two of sleep then have that again. And, sidenote on the kiwis: I learned that it's easiest to just cut them in half and scrape them out with a spoon. Way less of a mess and less loss of pulp on the peels. ;)
