I still think many people don’t grasp how amazing Edward was a player. He played some of the most sophisticated and diverse guitar work ever. And he was still playing at that extremely high level of skill into his late 50’s approaching 60’s. If you don’t think that’s hard, watch clips of Clapton as a young guy and then clips of him in his late 50’s … no where close to the level he was. EVH was so talented that no matter his health, age, or drama he was still executing with such incredible precision on some extremely difficult material. Just no words to describe that level of talent.

Eddie's playing sounds like an Orchestra. Phenomenal. I'm totally blown away from what Eddie Van Halen has written over the years.

It's one of my favorite VH songs and terribly underrated. Dave actually sounds ok here. It's all about EVH, though. The last minute of this song is aces.

What a great concert, I love this live album, heavy rotation in my car over the years. I saw the brothers a couple of times in concert during this era, and it was always a great show. Dave still has a little bit of sexy left, too, a little Sting-like youthfulness.

With David Lee Roth you just can't predict on a live stage what sounds are going to come out of the guys mouth. But yeah it's a great song and Dave actually is bringing some great energy to it here

People always say he was never a good singer, but he actually was when he wasn’t out of his mind on something. There are some great examples of how good he was in the 80s here on you tube. He was great on the 07 tour. After that he started to lose the things about his voice that made him great.

Was at The Men’s Club in Reno Nevada maybe 10 or even 25 years ago ( I don’t remember) , and I asked a dancer if that was Diamond David Lee Roth sitting at a nearby table. It was short haired Dave. When I left the club I walked by and told him that as a teenager and well into my 20’s he was the one guy I wished I was. 💪👏👍🎤🎤🎤🎤

DLR still had his voice. I can hear it, but I dont know why he trys to high pitch. Thats what ruins it. He was never a high pitch singer excpet for is screeches and woahs
