This clip was a pretty cool convo. Absolutely INSIGHTFUL! How certain raw energy just helps elevate the potential of the room. Inspiring others to aspire for the better.

Never fixing the issue IS the strategic goal of an oppressive system. Jay simply spoke the obvious solution that isn't, truly wanted. This is why funding for school systems in certain zip codes is diverted outside of the community. At the same time, unlimited funding is devoted to building ever more, bigger, and more modern prisons.

With tech where it's at and where it's going, quit taking it away from kids. Just monitor their usage. And teach them the benefits of taking a break from it.

Suggesting a “Mentor” is not a genius or profound statement regarding rehabilitating criminals. It's a matter of knowing the needs of the individuals you are trying to serve. Jay may have been speaking from a grassroots perspective vs. a Black Boule perspective. Jay's suggestion further exposed the disconnection of the individuals who create systems from those who require aid.

This comment is insignificant to the overall point that was being made. He was giving examples of how black billionaires do more than just write check. E.g. "Talk to staff with respect, creative suggestions, improve the performance of others around them". The 1st sentence you wrote was ignorant. Every other sentence after, was a contribution of assumption of background knowledge at hand. The last sentence made sense. Do better.

People like u r the problem in this world, esp. among Black people. You just HAD to downplay the compliment that he paid Jay Z. People like you are why he said Jay Z has to be a bionic crab, because crabs like u love to try to pull him down. His comment was very profound and made a major impact in reform that is going to positively impact lives. smh shame on u.

@@MarcusForReal98 exactly. It's wild that people made stupid and ignorant comments like this then wonder why people don't take Black people seriously.

there's no "should" on the mentor-mentee arrangement. Instead there's "willingness" on both sides.

u do it. that man has and continues to mentor many people. there's only so much he can do for a person, the individual has to take steps themselves.
