You got out of the southwest USA in the nick of time. Texas has temperatures 106-109F. (over 42C) The Gulf of Mexico is near 90F. Alaska has many marshy areas and peat bogs and these are filled with mosquitos. At least you will be able the sleep at night without burning up. Where I live, near the Louisiana border, it would be impossible to sleep outside in a non air conditioned van.

Love a good ferry ride, especially when you can see wildlife along the way. Canada is so beautiful with it's forests and mountains, not to mention the lakes and love those glacial lakes. I have been laid up this week with COVID, our county has growing numbers of cases and I finally got bit by the bug. I've been super fatigued and coughing all week but I'm hanging in there. Thank goodness for KZitem and The Open Championship at St Andrews, yes, I'm a golf nerd, love watching the game. Stay well my friends and keep enjoying the ride.

What a fun day that was for us! So lovely to have met you! 🤗🤗🤗 Looking forward to seeing how your gifts are received at the Arctic Circle. Good shout driving over the Narrows Bridge and up the west side of Puget Sound. Faster and cheaper than into the city and ferrying across -- and prettier too!! I remember being relieved you had a smooth crossing, especially after how stormy it was for you driving up from Oregon. And smooth over the border as well -- glad they didn't nick the ice cream! 😉 Be prepared for getting back into the states being a bit more involved, tho... Hope you two are staying rested (enough)! ❤️❤️😎👍xx

How would you get into Russia from the USA? There are no flights. My Dad took a cruise to Vladivostok 25 years ago but I doubt if that is now available. Turkey still has flights to Moscow that take a long loop around Ukraine and Belarus.

@@peterrisbergs7156 I did some research after not knowing much about the area, just that I knew looking at a map Alaska and Russia are nearly touching, about 50 miles apart. In my mind I guessed boats may operate, apparently not, both sides are wilderness. My question still stands, where next trying to navigate the circumference of the globe. Taking Russia and China out of the mix, I am interested in the planned route to complete or if completion abandoned.
