This was an epic video! Scenery was amazing from start to finish. Was able to get through it in 6 days. For a while I was hoping for a KZitemr to do an across Canada Timelapse similar to that of other long-distance Timelapse KZitemrs such as Unclecoolie Productions and others, so it was very refreshing to see this. Quality was smooth and there were accurate descriptions of the cities passed by in the viewer. Only downside was that not all of this drive was able to be captured in the daytime and most of the downtowns of the cities were bypassed or omitted. Other than that, this was pretty good :)
@travelxoverland
Жыл бұрын
So glad you enjoyed the video. Unclecoolie's videos have definitely inspired me a little bit. I totally agree that it'd be better if all of the drive was captured in the daytime, I just had no choice but to bypass some cities and also drive past sundown to reach my destination on time. But going forward, I'll be trying harder to improve on that! Thanks for the feedback and for watching.

I drove between Ottawa, ON and Vernon, BC four times in my life. Each trip was grand: I drove once with my girlfriend, twice alone, and last with my elderly father who flew out to BC after I broke up with my kind-hearted girlfriend. Every trip was unique, but my favourite was with Tamara. I felt free embracing the unknown. I didn’t even have a job waiting for me in BC. Everything was in the air, nothing was certain, and it was fucking glorious.

Im so hate on Google Maps. We actually can road trip through the Canada. There's so many road to Vancouver or Toronto. But in Maps we should get road trip through USA. That's so troublesome. We should have a passport, checking into security, and we arrived on Canada again. But we do the same thing again. Maps is little bit and entirely so SUCKS!!

Great work! I also drove between Vancouver and Toronto a couple times but never really attempted to record anything. The stretch between AB and MB is quite boring but I loved the scenery along Lake Superior. I just have a question, did you set your camera at 200ms or 500ms? I'll be making a trip from Toronto to Edmonton in winter and looking to have a timelapse footage too.

Very good video. What equipment do you use? My GoPro only last 45 mins before either overheating or battery dies. I do some videos in the rain (feckin' Irish weather) and people dont mind too much (wiper speed needs to be considered) Many thanks

How's the gas situation im new to far trips do you fill up a couple times or carry extra tanks with you?
@travelxoverland

I usually fill up every 400 km or so, or if I find really cheap gas then I fill up early. There's no need for extra tanks because there's gas stations everywhere on this route.

There's a couple stretches on this route where you'll see signs on the highway warning you that there will be no gas stations for the next 100-150ish km. 1 is in BC and 1 in Ontario. But that's about it. Enjoy your trip!
