"Payasam" is 34m long. But the interview about is 1hr! :-) Payasam was so good that you are talking about it for so long. When the Payasam was in the vessel, and if you like Payasam, you might have wanted to taste it. But when the same thing was on the floor, it appeared like something disgusting, and evoking disgust feeling. Disgust was traveling throughout the short movie, if we observe keenly. Dear Vasanth, please make more movies. Your sensibilities are top notch. I can count the number of current breed of directors who have your touch.

Payasam is the best Movie Handsdown in the entire Navarasa series.
No doubt. It was amazing . Specially the song. Song took over the movie. And also the bride and groom. Bride showed up the best expressions. 👌

I watched Payasam for the second time and I got the feeling Rohini was his conscience trying to keep the balance and constantly holding him from doing something wrong and the reason he attends the wedding at all which he tells pretty much in plain words before telling us she is no more. And at a point he asks her to leave (lets go of his consciousness) and then he does the disgusting act. Which might not have happened if he had not asked her to leave.

Payasam was my most favorite one. Brilliant acting by Delhi Ganesh. Among the 9 films, Payasam and Rowthiram are the only ones which truly embodied the emotions. Although Gvm/Surya one showed about love, it was a just a GVM ripping off himself. And every tamil film has been showing just love for decades so its not really a tough thing to do. 🤣🤣

Payasam was v good. I found GVM’s v boring. No doubt Suriya is a good actor but the story was not spellbinding. Did not like the female lead. In reality women most often take charge of the relationship but in this story it seemed forced and artificial.
