Great video and useful info! That pallet table could be used for many jobs; not just in farming but in construction or in the shop as well.

Great video and great explanation of what’s going on, you saved yourself a lot of pain there without having all the pressure on your back, the way forward!

Hey great setup and idea we will be using it in the future. With all the time spent on sterilization of instruments, my vet gf pointed out that you weren’t wearing gloves during the surgery.

It does make things easier! The gloves are an interesting one - see Michael Walsh’s comment below.

Had some of mine done last week. I got the goat milking stand for the tup and the height worked really well.

Another great video. Curious as to why barehanded surgery? Is this common?

Thanks Michael. I would say so - each vet has different thoughts. I more often wear gloves to protect myself! I - and this is an opinion, not gospel - am yet to be convinced of better surgical outcomes in a farmyard setting when using sterile gloves compared to a good old fashioned surgical scrub with a nail brush. Good topic for another vlog though.

@@farmvetfilms Agreed. If you're having good outcomes no need. I agree also with protecting the surgeon from possible zoonotic transmission. Veterinarian here, Wisconsin,USA. Was in mixed/ farm practice early on for 14 years so I really appreciate your vlog! Keep it up👍👍

@@michaelwalsh9408 I did some training with a Spanish vet who was aghast when he came to the UK and saw vets calve cows without gloves - as in Spain brucellosis still a risk. Glad you’re enjoying the vlog!
