As a junior in hi-school my favorite car was blue - w/o the racing stripe - 1965 427 Cobra w/2x4v. My understanding it was "only" $4500? then but, somehow a "little" out of reach on after school income from the family farm. In 1979 saw one in the classified of the Atlanta Journal/Constitution for $19000. With depreciation and an increasing paycheck would soon be with in reach (HA, HA)! Again! "Those Were The Days"

1st, good luck with the car. 2nd, longtime fan. 3rd, I'm okay with the automatic. 4th, it's not the right blue, it should be cobra blue. 5th, I'm jealous. Lastly, if you are going to store it, even indoors, and particularly with a cover, buy a bar of Irish Spring and leave shavings all over the car. Under the hood, in the cockpit, and in the trunk. Rodents hate the smell. Rodents very much like the comfort and security of making their homes under car covers, inside upholstered seats and also inside airboxes. Even if you have an attached garage, they love building nests inside motor vehicles of every type. I have spent over 18 years in the auto industry, over 18 years in the motorcycle industry and have owned (gasp! I haven't heeded your advice!) multiple RVs. Please use Irish Spring, I'm afraid you'll have to make a video about it if you don't.

I'm with you all the way on this car. Beautiful car. CONGRATULATIONS! if you're interested driving it in colder weather look into motorcycle clothing. They have heated jackets and gloves that plug into USB ports. The idea of having a 10 speed transmission is perfect for that car. If properly matched with the rear end gears, it should be very snappy and quick and give you pretty good fuel mileage. Which trust me on this you're not trying for fuel mileage with this type of car, but as a motorcycle rider I can tell you I like my eletrectraglide harley davidson that gets 45 mpg with a 5 gallon tank better than my friends Honda vtx with his 28 mpg and 4 gallon tank. I only had to get gas at every other stop and spent more time rolling than gassing up. Again congratulations Beautiful car.
