I done my corsa first time I've ever done a full service cause the cost at local garage is unbelievable so I bought a few sets of tools and off I went done everything you mentioned may had cost a fair bit that's because I bought all the tools needed but the next time it's gone be even cheaper all I got do is buy the oil and other stuff still cheaper this time and I really enjoyed doin it. First time in my life I wished I'd done it 30 years ago. My cars in the past would had lasted alot longer. 😂 great video

Hi Martin, on the subject of poor running there is a couple of common problems. Throttle bodies get very dirty and there is also a small breather hose going from the cam cover to the throttle body below the butterfly. The hole is tiny and blocks easily. If its blocked take care not to enlarge the hole when clearing it. Keep the great videos coming 👍

Yes Mark, I have already filmed that episode and you'll see if it was blocked in the video.

Top job there Martin. I did a service video for my Astra G back in 2015 when I started to make actual content. Hopefully, the service might cure your running issue once you've done the fuel filter. James of the "The Savage Garage" has also done a service video for his Astra G.

I own a 2009 Saturn Astra XR (in Canada). There is a hose that runs behind the coolant reservoir that is unattached to anything on one end. One garage told me this was normal. Is that correct? Any insight you can provide would be appreciated. You are an excellent teacher. I learned a lot. Thanks.

Hi, do you know how to top up the hydraulic oil on the astra bertone convertible at all please? Mine needs topping up but not seen many vids on youtube on how to do this... ive heard that you need to undo a 13mm bolt in the hydraulic pump in the right hand side of the boot by the right rear taillight under the trim and top it up with a syringe maybe? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks and keep up the great content.

Some people believe the oil is a sealant. I explained why we put oil on the ring. It could be wd40, water, grease ect. None of these are sealants but they will aid in the rubber sealing due to friction. The rubber is the sealer, not the lubricant. I thought that was clear from what I said. Did I really have to answer this comment?
