Looks like terrain tamer. I called dobinson and asked about there parabolics regarding pack thickness and if they had a photo of the actual 79series 400kg constant pack. He said he can't get a picture or know the thickness. That's bad service right? Was ready to buy.

I like thin leaf packs and my OME 600 kg constant load 81R are 76 mm thick which is thinner than many. Also using the Superior Engineering plates. I'm stating this for reference. If a manufacturer is too lazy to cough up pack height and spring rates then that's indeed bad marketing as stated in another comment.

Mate, i ended up going the heavier pack, 700kg constants, an extra leaf, still Terrain tamer but the heavier option.. They work much better with the weights we tow.. Cheers

I purchased a set of these in aug 20 for my double cab cruiser with factory tray, all they did was bring the car back to standard height. Went back to TT and was told I need to purchase the 700 kg pack to get a 2 inch lift. 1500 bucks down the drain. TT not at all helpful.

Hey gents, I’m looking at parabolic springs for my 76 but I want to keep OEM height - are you saying that their standard pack springs don’t actually lift it 50mm? Cheers

@@TeamBulletOffroad is this because of the thickness? It would only work with the 4 leaf? Also, does the gvm upgrade come with 3 or the 7 leaf?

@@johnsongraphy1534 No i went from 3 to 4 because the 3s were not coping with the weight, i got the gvm upgrade many years back with the conventional heavy duty, check with your toyota person for pre rego gvm requirements, as its all changed these days

Hey mate, I've.got a 4 leaf TT Parabolic leaf pack. Is it possible to remove 1 of the springs to make it a lighter pack? Or is that not possible with the Parabolics?

The 700kg constants? There the ones I've been running now for some time, love them, way better for load carrying but as you may have seen in the newer videos, still great and flex offroad with the air bags deflated

@@TeamBulletOffroad the ones I have are a 4 leaf pack, but 500kg constant. If I was to remove one leaf from the pack, like you could with a traditional leaf pack, would that mess stuff up? Or can it be done? I would like to see how they perform with a lighter spring weight.

@@andrewmillican460 I spoke to Terrain Tamer the other day and they said that the 4 leaf pack (at least for the Tritons) is just the 3 leaf pack with 1 leaf added (2nd from the bottom). They said I could purchase a 4 leaf and just remove the 2nd from the bottom spring for a lighter spring. Might be worth calling them and seeing if the same is true for the Cruisers!

In my opinion the parabolics are more comfortable unloaded than my old tjm 300s, day to day i love them, they are so good, even more comfortable than my wife fortuner with coil back.... I love them and highly recommend....
