Also, I'd love to hear campaign summaries of the Caravan of Doom. That alone could make for fun listening.

My players often ask me why I don't talk more about our campaign in the channel. I never thought it would be interesting for a wider audience, but if more people show interest in this kind of content, I would love to talk about it.

@@HouroftheRaven Your theatrical style could make for a great narration. You can file things down to the highlights and major points of the plot, weaving into a chilling narrative.

That's certainly an ambitious campaign. Pretty cool idea overall.

You're putting in work where Wizbro doesn't, where they insult 50 years of D&D. I love Mr. Welch's proposals too. I'd probably ditch the weird 4E additions that 5E tainted The Wheel and beyond with. Leave the World Axis to Nentir Vale/Points of Light, not wider D&D.

Second!!! I never thought I would see Gabriel covering this trainwreck. Will be interesting to see what modifications he makes. Good luck Gabriel!

@@HouroftheRavenI'm only halfway through, (somehow I missed this when it came out) but I like your ideas so far. Think you did a solid job. Just finished and yeah I def like your take on this. Feels much more appropriate to the way it was built up than the official adventure ever did.

Great video. I love that Lord of Blades got mentioned in the Eberron section.

Thanks! Eberron is full of interesting material. Love that setting. The last of the great classic settings for DnD.

I was also starting a world hopping Vecna themed adventure when Eve of Ruin came out. My game began as a one-shot called D&D&D (Dungeons and Dragons and Drinking) I had found rules for barfight mechanics and we keep all PC minis In a miniature tavern we call the Interdimensional Inn. I decided to follow up with an adventure revealing the bar is in Sigil and they as players must try and find their missing characters from their first game. I told them that Vecna was doing something and no one else could stop it. Then I used the glitch mechanic to allow them to have multiple characters. My plan is to make that thier connection to Vecna, and why they are the only ones who can challenge him. Only they can survive. Last session the "Orator of Vecna" started debating people in the Tryarch to convert people to the idea that the convergence of planes is the end of all thier philosophies. That way they can feel Vecna gaining power just through fear and followers.

Cool ideas. Loved the bar in Sigil, the interdimensional inn. It reminded me of a Sandman comic I read long ago.
@TiberiusX

@HouroftheRaven it was a little bit inspired by "The Wake" the sandman comic you're talking about with the guy and girl who end up in the inn where all the stories are told.

very interesting ideas, but the whole thing is so monumental that it would really take 20 years to run it.
@HouroftheRaven

It's long, for sure. This story arc has been ongoing for 5 years in my campaign with similar ideas. But it's coming to an end, so I guess it should take 6 years to do it all.

And tell me why 20 years of a great game is a bad idea? Hahaha. The location changes and danger makes it easy to add and remove players who phase out of groups, even.

Hi there! Discovered Ravenloft recently and your videos are a great source for me to Discover The Land of the Mists Pre-5e Always interesting to see the evolution of such creative works! If I could ask you to cover a Domain in particular, I am craving for infos on Old Har’Akir ! Egyptian Mythology is quite Underrated and from what I understood, Old Har’Akir had a way bigger focus on it with The Wall of Ra

@@HouroftheRaven Nah it's not for me. It would take to much re writing and if I'm going to do that I'll write my own. I prob won't play 5th edition again. I'm having too much fun with Vaesen, CoC, and Dragonbane

I can’t stand Wotc and their inability to write. As much as I enjoy the mechanics and rule system of 5e D&D Their adventures are just never up to par. Their ideas stop right before you could have fun with any of them. Or they target subjects that they don’t have the life experience to actually speak on or write too. Let alone things like the OGL scandal that never had to happen or the current debacle over race and alignment in this game also never had to happen. It’s like every time they come up with a good idea, they decide to shoot themselves in the foot afterwards.

I agree. This whole adventure seems, at best, a missed opportunity. The explorations of the settings are just shallow and generic most of the time.

Unsatisfactory, very diplomatic. Well, WOC doesn't care about older players. Van Richtens showed that well.

I agree. An interesting idea wasted in a messy adventure. So much for a celebration of 50th year of dnd.
