0-60 in 8.5 seconds is really good for just 150bhp we have one and it has a crap load of torque and power for pulling hard :-)

My Vectra (CDTi 2007, 150CV) accelerates roughly the same. 80-120 in less than 6 seconds in 4th gear. Stock, no chip. I suspect that I have more than 150CV in my engine. No engine problems up to now, happy with my car...

How long have you had it? I purchased my 150 SRi 06 plate in January this year with 140k miles on the clock (on the face was good value as only paid £950 for it). However, in the space of 8 months I have had to firstly replace 2 coil packs (only paid £5 per at a breaker to be fair), clutch (£750 for the full works), front brake pads and discs, starter motor (both done free of labour charge as luckily I have a friend who is a mechanic) and finally I've had an electrical problem where my speedometor and dashboard will randomly stop working until I start the ignition again. Oh and both the front and rear in car chargers have stopped working also! Love the car when it's performing well but I've paid more to get it fixed than I did to buy it so it really should be a write-off. Hopefully you don't experience the same.

A lot of problems in your car, it is a shame. I have done 225k km to my car, purchased brand new nine years ago. Up to now (i cross my fingers) just have to change the flywheel and clutch, 1800€. Real consumption 6l/100km, below 5,5 being a little cautious with the accelerator. Changed front brake pads and all coils as per garage recommendations.

Ohh that makes sense then if you bought it brand new. You seem like you look after your car well, guess the previous owner(s) to my car (2 I believe) didn't treat it with any love lol. Wouldn't be surprised if little to no maintenance was done to it since it came out of the factory. Do you use a Vauxhall/Opel garage or is it third party? I guess clutch/brakepad replacements are essential and not typically caused by negligence but just regular wear and tear anyway so it's just the starter motor, engine and coils that I need to watch out for. I don't really know a lot about cars I just act like I do :D

Block egr off it saves you loads of money in repair bills. My 1.9 cdti has 192k on clock never missed a beat, car would have been scrapped by now if egr still active.

@@RedEyedJedi no I leave it blanked, I’ve also taken the clocks off and stuck a small piece of black duck tape over the emissions light under the clock face plate. Can’t see the tape. It’s done over 210k miles now, mine has no dpf as it a manual/2007 plate.
