Let's make some vegan gingerbread together! Today on my Pinup Glamour Channel I have the next video in my vintage vegan series where we're making some gingerbread! I had so much fun making this video and making gingerbread is definitely a new tradition!
Gingerbread Ingredients:
- Flax egg (tbsp of ground flox with 3 tbsp of hot water)
- 2 cups of main flour
- 1/4 tsp all spice
- 2 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp of ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1/3 cup of molasses
- 1/4 cup of vegan butter
- 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
Icing ingredients:
1 cup of icing sugar
1 tbsp of oat milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Method:
1 - Preheat the over to 180 degree Celsius and put baking paper onto trays.
2 - Make flax egg mixing ground flaw and 3 tbsp of hot water with fork.
3 - Mix molasses, vegan butter and brown sugar with whisk.
4 - Add in the flax egg and vanilla extract continuing to mix.
5 - Add in the salt, the baking soda, the spices, and sift in the flour and mix with a spoon.
6 - Lightly kneed the gingerbread dough until all mixed.
7 - Flour the bench and prep for cutting.
8 - Roll out to 1/2 a cm, cut out biscuits and put on the tray.
9 - Put in the oven and bake for 10 minutes.
10 - Take out of oven and place cookies on cooling rack and cool completely.
11 - Mix icing mixture and ice cookies.
12 - Enjoy your gingerbread!
