True about the sharp knife vs dull! Also, I had a “pleasure” of cutting myself with a dull knife and it was healing longer, so yeah, we gotta keep those knives sharp! :)

Right?! I did actually cut through my thumb nail with a sharp knife and I just kept it wrapped until it started to close and fuse back together and it healed perfectly.

Great stuff ...I appreciate the insight! I'll be doing a vegetarian culinary arts course soon (no vegan option offered), and I found this very useful! Cheers!

Hey girly! I’m vegan and planning to make a thorough list of kitchen appliances/ kitchenware and i noticed after watching this video multiple times that the very last ”mixing tool” you showed examples for making cookies/mashed potatoes isn’t labeled or mentioned. I would like to know the name of it please! Thank you

We are pan killers. No matter how well I season pans, we just ruin them. Advice?

It might come down to how you wash them. I never put mine in the dishwasher and on cast irons I never use soap. I also always immediately dry them off once I wash them to make sure no water is left on them. Also “deglazing” a pan is very important. So you know how when you cook you get things crusted on the bottom? Well, while the pan is still hot, pour a little water over the crusty bits and they will bubble right off. You can use a wooden spoon to scrape them right if they need some help and you’ll have an almost clean pan before you even wash. Also if you do this while cooking all that lovely flavor from the crusted bits go back into the food. Once my pan is deglazed I can pretty much just rinse it with water and lightly scrub (again, no soap needed in cast irons, they should always have a little oily buildup) and then dry them and put them away. If you do this and always be sure to preheat your pans, then add oil once they are hot to coat them before cooking you should be able to avoid rust.
