This literally drives me mad. Most soy is fed to livestock. Most livestock is not grazed on pasture. Most people who drink milk aren’t drinking organic “ethical” milk from cows who don’t mind. Aughhhhh!!! No. Why are people reading an article in the telegraph and believing it. 90% of the telegraphs staff are privately educated. I’m sue if your sent away to boarding school aged 7 and only see your parents after your 21 you won’t see the problem with tearing away a newborn calf from its mother. Gosh I’m rilled up.

If I saw this "news report" in my country (Sweden) I would report this news company to a consumer agency. We have the Swedish Consumer Agency that I have reported some commercials I have seen from swedish dairy companies. One commercial they made stated that the cows milk they were selling was actually carbon neutral. Absolutely ridiculous. So sad to see the people who are invested in the animal industry trying their worst to lie to the public about their obsolete products. It's time for our society to ditch dairy.

I did a video about it on my channel that went up yesterday, at the beginning I say ‘I don’t think I’ll even last a few days’. 2 weeks later and I’ve never felt happier or healthier! I will NEVER go back to eating animal products again. There are so many benefits physically and mentally I don’t even know where to start, and I can feel them already. My whole life has changed for the better and I’m so glad. Thank you so much for the inspiration. You’re an amazing speaker and I really enjoy your content. Keep doing what you’re doing💖🌱

Funny, when I look into the source of soy beans in products I have used in the past I don't see any soya beans from the Amazon. Almost as if they know it would be insane to buy from there because their customers are largely ethical consumers. Here is a quick Googled article from a plant based dairy, yogurt and milk company. Read the side of the box and they will usually proudly state where they source their product, in Europe a lot is grown in the warmer Mediterranean countries. "Alpro is “on track” to source half of its conventional soybeans and 85% of its organic beans from Europe by the end of 2016. The majority will be sourced from France and Italy, although the dairy alternative brand recently launched growing trials in Northern Europe and aims to source 5,000 tonnes of Belgian and Dutch soybeans by 2020. Alpro believes there is “a future for more European-produced soy, which currently accounts for just 0.5% of the world’s total supply, a spokeswoman said. “Soyabeans are sensitive to frost and grow best in a warm Continental climate, but we believe and hope that it should be possible to develop appropriate soybean varieties for North-West Europe with early maturity lifecycle, in the same way as the cultivation of corn was developed in the second half of last century,” she said. Alpro’s non-European soy is sourced primarily from Canada because there is a high availability of non-GMO food-grade beans, and they can be shipped via ocean and river, a relatively low-impact transport mode, she added."

One time a friend of mine asked me "Want to know a fact about soy?". Me knowing where this was going and being cheeky replied "like the fact that over 90% of it is fed to farmed animals?". He didn't enjoy telling me that fact as much after that 😂 This was almost 10 years ago. So I can relate to the groundhog day analogy.

I am soo angry everytime I hear that soy argument . A vegan could never eat as much soy as a person who eats animal products. What do people think their "food" is eating? A cow/pig/chicken is not just popping into excistence at the "right age" to be slaughterd. They have to be feed with the cheapest and most harmful monocultured soy/grains. When I look at my soy brands it says "grown in europe". As soy products for humans cost double (or more) its quit unrealistic that the tons of soy consumed by animal farming and soy products for humans can even be compared. If rainforest is burned down-->soy for animal farming, if European farmers have sustainability in mind-->soy for humans

I've recently ditched dairy, but have never been a fan of Soy Milk, there always seemed to be a nasty aftertaste, reinforced when I had a "soya" latte at Costa, a few years ago. YUK! 🤮 Thankfully, there's so much in the way of alternatives, namely Oat Milk, which to me, is indistinguishable from Dairy Milk, on cereal, in coffee etc. And, the biggest boon? I've been using it to make my morning spicy porridge and not only does it taste as good, as when made with milk, it makes cleaning the saucepan a breeze.... No sticky, congealed gunk to have to deal with! 😉😉
