You always say your "random project" vlogs are going to be boring but they're actually my FAVORITE!! These jobs are super important to having a happy, healthy and beautiful garden and I easily get overwhelmed with what tasks to do when. Seeing you tackle these throughout the day (with wonderful plant updates dotted throughout) help me relax and organize my own garden schedules. They remind me that I can do it too!! Thanks so much for all of your awesome videos! :)

Roflol, when you are going through your garden showing the conditions & adding the commentary, it strongly resembles a news crew going through neighborhoods that have been hit by tornados. I know that part really isn't funny. But the resemblance is lol. The lost crops are sad though.

I came in the house from cleaning out the vegetable garden to find this video of you cleaning up your vegetable garden too. We haven't had a frost yet, was close though. Everything was so bedraggled. It was a horrible growing year with the 115° temps, no rain for months and plagued with aphids. I'd spray peppermint castille soap and get rid of the black aphids and two days later covered in green aphids. Then a deluge of rain and powder mildew and cabbage loopers. I hate seeing the garden go for the season but this year it's kind of a relief to have a clean slate to start planning for next year. 12 weeks and it will be time to start seeds again. Thank you for your videos, Laura! They do inspire me.

I was wondering how infectious the blight is. Laura piled up all the infected branches and equipment into her trailer. She uses that same trailer to haul new plants around the yard. She did say the bacteria that causes the blight can winter over. I wonder if she should wipe down the trailer (in addition to the pruning equipment) before she puts anything else in there. I don't know (much at all) about how infectious that stuff is though.

Even though I don't have all the stuff you do, it's still helpful, informative and therapeutic to watch these end of year videos. It both gives me ideas for things around here, and reminds me that I'm not the only one missing my garden already. I've had asparagus grown from seeds in cups all summer, and just got them in what I hope will be a place they like in the last couple of weeks. (It's a semi-finished raised bed. The back and one side is finished, but the front is a landscape timber - because it was already a divider, and I didn't have more 2x stock the same height as the back.) I'm kinda surprised they made it through the summer, and wanted to get them "in soil" before our first frost a couple weeks ago. I'd also like to rotate my plants (as you are,) but don't have the space to have enough of the tomatoes I want if I did. So, I'm just adding more compost to the beds next year, and hoping I did enough cleaning this year.
