@@debrascott8775 Honest mistakes happen. Crossfit could have simply replied that the video he submitted was not acceptable and to resubmit or face disqualification. I don't see that he was trying to gain competitive advantage or game the system. Let the athlete correct the mistake, with a warning to the team and move on.

As for the team DQ: I think that’s the old “Elite Fitness” mantra. When you are elite, you fulfill the standard. No questions asked, no F**kups tolerated. (I’ll bet there is an ex SEAL somewhere in the background for this one 😅) maybe CF is trying to get back to the roots but doesn’t want to scare any one with slogans. It hard to be elite and all inclusive at the same time 🫣

The heads of crossfit are coming across like they dont give a sh**, just pay us the affiliate fees, thats all we are interested in. To not even consider or discuss any query is very poor and just proves the above. I think a lot of ppl are losing interest in crossfit due to the ppl running it. I feel the afiliates are just crossfit beeyatches quite frankly and its wrong.

What bothers me is the idea there was no way they could contact CF to talk it through. The rules should be the rules, but people are more important. For a community driven sport not to be able to apply some common sense and humanity to something this important to competitors isn't cool. Also, Brent clearly has a ladder to get up to the bike. It's right there under the bike.

It’s not a heart strong story cause it was a choice to do it that way. Not an unforeseen avoidable circumstance. Which is why the rules shouldn’t be base on a persons view of if it is or isn’t because some will see it as such and others won’t so then it’s truly an unfair standard.

This is why CrossFit will never be a real sport or taken seriously. They let people keep scores without videos at number 1 but won’t let a team appeal? They let soooo many people get away with crappy reps and letting big name athletes get away with things so they can bring more money. They upped quarters by 15% for more money. No other reason. And people are silly enough to pay $50 knowing they have no chance and aren’t getting anything from CrossFit itself
