Velma Reviews are back once for more a HBO Max Halloween special where Velma tries to fight scary fear with hotness. Velma will struggle with that one. Almost certainly to be the last Velma Review given the viewing figures of the first 2 series, I was surprised Mindy Kaling was even allowed to make a Halloween special but clearly HBO Max thought they had a winner! While we've had Velma dying, going to hell and being resurrected. Resurrecting Velma with evil spells that require terrifying your friends as the first plan to bring about the apocalypse. Is at least self aware. But what did you think of what you saw? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)

Yeah, and I am not so sure they could get away with that either. They did push him off a cliff and kept it hidden for 20 years, that should still be second degree murder in any case. 20 years for everyone pushing and maybe 5 for any other witnesses who refused to say anything... If they had called for help directly, it would have been manslaughter and they might have gotten away pretty light but hiding a crime like this is not something a US court would look the other way at.

And, generally, to execute a subversion of something, you need to first become experienced at doing well the thing you intend to subvert. (Because it requires a detailed understanding of it for the subversion to work. You have to understand why something worked so well that it became a cliche/trope.) Painters who became famous for their abstract works first needed years of study to master the rules of classical painting, for example.

You got that right, it truly is demonic. I've long been of the opinion that this show was created by Satanic cultists to advance his dark agenda. Here's my proof: 1. It openly preaches hatred against a multitude of groups, such as white people, men, straight people, the wealthy, etc.. Such a goal bears Satan's seal of approval. 2. More specifically, Season 2 had it openly preaching hatred against Christians, while simultaneously portraying Wicca/ the occult as wise, enlightening and beautiful. 3. The show seems to delight in corrupting the innocent. A) At its core, it's taking a franchise themed around a beloved children's cartoon and perverting it into obscene trash (Perhaps in the hopes that innocent children might think it's just a harmless Scooby spinoff and start watching, and unsuspecting parents might not realize how obscene it is before it's too late). B) Season 2's Norville subplot seems to go out of its way to teach teens that recreational drug use is a great way to deal with any stress and guilt that they may have (I'm sure impressionable teenagers taking that message to heart won't have ANY negative consequences whatsoever). C) It repeatedly sexualizes underaged teens, between the shower scene in the pilot, the "Jokes" obsessing about Fred being poorly- endowed, and of course this entire revolting special being all about underaged teens being eager to go to an event that's essentially an open- air public orgy. Satanists love the concept of corrupting that which was once pure and innocent. 4. Season 2 premiered all at once, at precisely 3:00 AM. A rather unusual time of day for a streaming show to premiere, but it's regarded as a key time for hardcore Satanists to perform their unholy rituals, as it's seen as a mockery of the Holy Trinity (Again, recall how much Season 2 insulted and blasphemed Christianity). 5. Just look at it! On second thought, DON'T look at it, to keep its ratings low. Fortunately, this is one scheme of Satan that didn't pan out, as it's been universally hated by all.

LONG POST AHEAD! I'm declaring this special noncanonical and sticking to my own multiversal headcanon on how to have it end (SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE 'EXORCIST: BELIEVER,' IF ANY OF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO WATCH THAT CRAPPY FILM!): Velma in ghost form continues to be an insufferable load of crap to everyone. So, an anonymous hero captures Velma's foul spirit with help from the Ghostbusters. One of them says, "Now, we can just go put her in the containment unit with the others." The hero, however, intervenes and says, "I think I've got a better idea." Taking the ghost trap with her inside, he then conducts a dark ritual to summon Satan (Who in this I think I'd picture being the 'Devil's Advocate'/ Al Pacino version of him), and offers him a deal, a simple trade of souls: In exchange for Satan releasing the soul of Katherine West (The nice enough, churchgoing 12- year- old girl from 'Exorcist: Believer' who gets possessed and is eventually sent to Hell when her idiot dad gets tricked by the demon), the hero will let Satan have Velma's FAR more deserving- of- eternal- damnation soul instead. After a bit of haggling, Satan agrees (While he is at first reluctant to agree to the trade, the hero points out to him that Velma's soul is FAR more rife with sin than Katherine's is, and thus will nourish him and his demons far more than Katherine's would). A contract is signed by both of them, Katherine's soul is freed from Hell and happily ascends to Heaven, and Velma's soul is released from the ghost trap just long enough for Satan to seize her and drag her screaming to Hell. The hero says "I think I just did my good deed for the decade," and walks away to return the trap to the Ghostbusters, whistling happily. Two days later, however, Satan is experiencing some SERIOUS buyer's remorse. Velma's sheer obnoxiousness has driven off a dozen different tormentors (One of them is heard pleading "Put me back on Attila the Hun detail, please! He's more bearable than her!"), and nobody else will take her. He can't call the deal off, as the contract is binding and Katherine's soul is now in Heaven and thus under God's protection forever. At his wits' end, Satan ultimately decides to have Velma's soul cast into the Labyrinth from 'Hellraiser,' for the Cenobites to torment to their dark hearts' content forever. Since the Cenobites are all about blurring the lines between pain and pleasure, including among themselves, they rather enjoy her repugnant personality as they "Play" with her for all eternity. Everybody wins except Velma, who doesn't deserve to win at anything.

Good point. In addition, there's the fact that at such events as that: A) There tend to be multiple drug dealers peddling their crap to attendees. B) Practically every drink has a roofie in it. C) At least three attendees are sexually assaulted within the first hour. D) It's pretty much guaranteed it'll get violent, anything from a fistfight to a brawl to maybe even a gang- related shooting. Oh, but don't forget, according to Emo- Girl, any parents expressing legitimate concerns over their underaged children attending such an event are REALLY just killjoy prudes engaging in "Puritanical propaganda against sexual expression."
