it's interesting that the whole part of Scott's contribution to those that got the chance to know him, or have been affected by his work got the whole package, which included everything he did, like substance heavy use, killer vocals, and theatrics on stage. without one part of anything, he wouldn't have been what everyone liked. it's hard to get that concept. it would've been cool to see him someday make some changes. but apparently he was more than just battling that part of life, he submerged in it, just like he wanted to do. his last day was just as bad ass as every day before that. all of it. slash says it was no fun, why'd he stick around? maybe he didn't get enough coverage. johnny Quick It was Axl roses personality that broke them up. He felt entitled to seizing control over the bands because he was the lead singer despite the other band members disinterest. Atleast Scott was loyal to keeping the original sound for Velvet Revolver. Aside from his substance abuse, his persona seemed more tolerable to say the least.

Theoneandonly88able No doubt . I saw Slash in a bar for a free appearance with a local Radio station . It was during those rough GNR on again off again years . Slash started playing when a ruffled Axl Rose came out of the shadows to start singing while looking drunk as Slash was playing . Everyone was thrilled but then AXL gave Slash a nasty look and left the bar mid song . It was so odd and a huge letdown as everyone thought the band was together again . I gained much respect for Slash as he played several more songs after AXL left for the people who came ! Slash is the best !

Velvet Revolver was amazing it’s a huge shame the band fell apart. It also sucks that Scott Weiland is no longer with us he was a very talented man gone way too soon.

I remember seeing a documentary behind the scenes of VR and the fellas really saved Scott's life. He was in deep with drugs and darkness. Scott was really sick and the detox was rough but he cleaned himself up with alot of help from Duff and the guys and made the best comeback ever. I think Scott gave the fellas hope and vice versa. Like all great beautiful things it didn't last as long as we would have liked. I'm just happy I got to live to see and hear it.
