Nestled on the hills of Nakadomari Town in Aomori Prefecture, the 47 MW "Nakasato" Wind Project features 13 wind turbines, some of the tallest in Japan, and is capable of supplying up to 22,000 Japanese households with clean energy per year, equivalent to reducing up to 61,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas and saving approximately 87 million litres of water yearly.
In an interview with Mayor Toyomitsu Hamadate of Nakadomari Town, he expressed his hopes for the project to revitalize regional economic development and job opportunities.
