I'm 31 and not a bike rider but love the fact you openly use Lego as part of your helmet, I think that's pretty cool. I use to customise Xbox controllers using LED lights, keyring parts and some of the small crystal looking pieces from Lego sets. Nostalgia wins.

Using adhesive pads to stick everything on so it can break away in a crash... That's really smart Walter, I'm sure a lot of people would have just hot glued or screwed everything in place. Nice tip for those wishing to build a safe custom helmet!

It was cool to see this video to see your technique and to get inspiration on how to create something from repurposed parts. I am glad that you ultimately encourage others to create their own design though. I dont understand why so many people want popularity from other adopting peoples identity/designs. What happened to taking pride in yourself and your own creativity? It seems like instagram these days is flooded with people begging for followers and all their page does is repost other peoples pictures! Take your own pictures! If they're good then people will follow you on their own! Sorry, got carried away there. Moral of the story, you're a good example Walter. Everybody, do you! Dont be so desperate to ride coattails!

Being that many of the parts you used were difficult, if not near impossible to relocate, to recreate your original design, as well as expensive due to their scarcity, there IS a way to save some of the headache... Through the use of some very basic moulding and casting, a LOT of the repetitive parts could have easily been replicated, thereby saving you a great deal of time & money. Because most of this is simply cosmetic in nature, it is a viable option to seriously think about. It would also give you that advantage of making many parts stronger and easier to work with. Plus, you would then have reusable moulds that you could sell castings from, should you wish to do so, (assuming of course the original parts were modified enough that you weren't breaking any copyrights, by selling recasts of other people's work).

Looks cool and all but you added a ton of stuff that will catch in the event of a crash. Shoei's and Arai's are some of the most plain looking helmets because the smooth edges maximize safety by preventing the helmet from catching and snapping your neck.
