Santa Monica Closeup caught up with Daisy, known as the Venice Healer, and Reverend White during an eventful night at Venice Beach. Their candid conversation offered a mix of humor, reflections, and a glimpse into the unique Venice culture.
In a lighthearted exchange, Daisy recounted the previous night's camping adventure on the sand, where she playfully said to Reverend White, "I tapped you on the nose last night!" to which he replied, "You did last night." The two spent the night camping together, with Daisy recalling their makeshift campsite: "My temple was next to his setup, we were sleeping like 4 feet apart. I could hear you! Did you hear me make a noise?" she joked, setting the tone for the playful interaction.
As the night unfolded, they found themselves surrounded by a crowd of local beach-goers and drum circle participants, all while trying to catch some rest. "I was woken up at 1:00 in the morning," Daisy explained, "My bedtime is 8:00, so I was in deep sleep. I’m like, 'Reverend White, take care of it!'” Reverend White, with his signature charm, responded, "It's going to get interesting," before everyone, including the crowd, broke into laughter.
Despite the challenges, Daisy remained in good spirits, even as officers arrived the following morning. "They let me sleep until 8, which is late! They were really sweet, like, 'Hey Daisy, do you mind opening your walls?'" Daisy shared, showing her appreciation for the officers’ respectful approach.
The conversation took a philosophical turn as Reverend White introduced his vision of "America 2.0" and “Big Mama 3.0,” while Daisy hinted at a mysterious "secret" they share. The playful banter continued, with Reverend White musing about futuristic technology, while Daisy emphasized the importance of love and community.
"We’re the ones we’ve been waiting for. We’re all divine love," Daisy said, summing up the spiritual undertones of the conversation. "The joke is, we’ve been waiting for some savior - but we’re the ones."
As the sun set over Venice Beach, the duo continued to entertain and inspire those around them, blending humor, spirituality, and the unique vibe of Venice’s free-spirited culture.
