I was a Verizon customer for 15yrs with the grandfathered in unlimited everything, but I was paying $140 a month and then they told me if I got a new device I would lose my unlimited plan. This was about 3yrs ago now. I went to Tmobile and have never looked back. Verizon would eff me every chance they got and I really haven't had any problems with Tmobile. I literally despise Verizon wireless.

I think I can be considered a cellular hoarder at this point... Sprint Business UHP, AT&T Mobley plan in a Unite Explore, and now VZW Prepaid Unlimited in a 7730L. Along with a Sprint ED450 line with a phone and VZW 500MB Prepaid backup phone plan.

No matter what carrier I ultimately go with, I think I'll also keep my 55+ 2-lines for $60/mo unlimited forever package. (They don't even offer that any more at that price - I think it is $70/mo now.) For the most part, data speeds are reasonable, but once the limit is hit, will throttle you down during peak hours. I deal with that, then around midnight, they turn the throttle back off and I can watch streaming video non-stop all night long. Yeah, generally, I really like T-Mobile. Unless you are traveling in the upper mid-west, then it's a no-service area.

I hope T-Mobile expands rapidly. Right now AT&T and Verizon are best for us as we're full timers wandering all over. However, I have to say, that I have been totally won over by AT&T. I have yet to be throttled by them, it is fantastic not worrying about every single Gig, I upload to our youtube channel, and watch others, without worry. I would drop Verizon, but there are places where we go that they are the only option, so I'd consider T-Mobile if they get comparable coverage. For now, AT&T is my goto carrier, which I wouldn't have said a year ago! I wonder what other's have experienced?

It's been an interesting shift in the last year to see AT&T close the gap with Verizon for travelers - particularly with their adoption of usable unlimited plans. We too are watching T-Mo with excitement.

How quickly is your map app updated? Since the carriers are constantly updating and adding towers are you updating the app just as fast?
@MobileInternetResourceCenter

The app is updated quarterly. It would be impossible to issue an update every time there's a new tower added. Quarterly has been a good balance.

I had sprint for years. Each year their speed has decreased to a point where I cannot use my phone outside of WiFi. I’ve been getting like .20 Mbps consistently most places I go. Left them for T-Mobile and couldn’t be happier.

They are right about staying in a certain area with Sprint. I live in los Angeles and I don't really travel that much because of school. I've always had really good speeds with Sprint and calls were not a problem. I used to have At&t and calls would drop and I would always have bad internet speeds. So far with Sprint everything has been going well. Not to mention there unlimited plan is really affordable. 😃

I'm on T-Mobile One-Plus "International." It allows 50 GB of downloads before going into "network management." Even when I do go over, I rarely notice a difference. I have a Samsung S7 (no 600MHz). I'm vandwelling now. Generally, if I can see city lights at all at night then I can get a decent signal. But, if I go behind a "mountain" I lose all signal. Even if there is a tower on top of that mountain, it will be for AT&T and Verizon. With that said, I'm still sticking with T-Mobile because I like the plan.

The CEO is full of it!! I have been with t-m0bile for 12 years and only because they are the cheapest. There service sucks. They also lie on their customer service line. Always takes hours and several calls to fix anything, You never get a straight answer from them and they do not follow through with what they have said they will do until you spend hours and numerous phone calls.

Linda V All the carriers are like that. I love how T Mobile pushes the other carriers to increase data limits and streaming certain things doesn’t count towards your data limits. If they didn’t we would all be stuck paying $120.00 a month for 2 gigs of data. Craziness.

I call BS on the sprint coverage map i have verizon and tho they say you have coverage dosnt mean its good coverage. I live in NC and verizon covers the whole damn state and so does sprint. I know people with sprint and they always have better signal than i do. Iv been in places that show strong verizon coverage and have no signal or it will cut in and out, however others with sprint have no issue. I'm going to say verizon is bullshitting us on there coverage map. I'm now getting to where i'm not receiving calls or they drop all the time its annoying as hell. Verizon used to be the best i will agree with that but they have gotten horrible.
