@kennyl10 The second reason is that for many senior citizens, Social Security benefits are exempt from federal income taxes. That accounts for about 22% of the people who pay no federal income tax, While those factors particularly affect lower-income households, different provisions eliminate taxes for other households. Itemized deductions and credits for children and education are more important for middle-income households, cont.....

The people in the truck are not SCABS, they're managers who now have to work 80 hour weeks (no overtime like union gets) doing the strikers' jobs. Striking is a proud American tradition, but using profanity, threats, violence, sabotage, and worst of all, CHILDREN, to gain public sympathy is wrong and can only backfire.

@kennyl10 while the relatively few high-income nontaxable households benefit most from above-the-line and itemized deductions and reduced tax rates on capital gains and dividends. he vast majority of people who escape federal income taxes still pay other taxes, including federal payroll taxes that fund Social Security and Medicare, and excise taxes on gasoline, aviation, alcohol and cigarettes. Many also pay state or local taxes on sales, income and property
