I have the same bike in black and I never used the factory seat I replaced it with a comfortable leather spring saddle. I also replaced factory forks and installed oil filled shock absorbing ones. Replaced factory display with a bafang 500 LCD. All were necessary upgrades in my opinion, I've accumulated about 700 miles so far and factory brake pads lasted for 600 miles It's a good bike but could be faster.

Just purchased this bad boy & am sooo much looking forward towards this beast. I've had 2 fattys in my past but am in need of some battery pwr now & not ready to hang up my helmet as yet. Have ridden in snow/ice w/ studs. Am curious of performance w/ winter use (tho would have to take this ride to snow country here in the NE. (haven't had anything to write home about here in Boston) so other than cold temps 30 and under am curious of battery drain. Would be getting a 2nd battery regardless anyway. I've been looking @ other reviews and am surprised that no one seems to be wearing biking shorts (given comments regarding comfort-U bet that if you're gonna stick w/ that saddle that padded bike shorts are in need-numbing and arse pain should be expected).

the handlebars don't look right now that you mention the battery off to the left. Are the handle bars pointing to the right and not level?

Normally no, but the handlebars had vibrated loose by the end of my test ride so they might have been a tad crooked. That's pretty normal, usually have to tighten everything up after the first few rides, I just forgot my tools 😡

Like the worst case scenario battery range test -> I think same way -> what mileage can I count on? Any extra mileage is a a bonus, not an expectation.

Those sprung rack clips are for holding documents or envelopes that bicycle office boys used to transport folders or letters through the city .. I forget the name of the young guys on bicycles used to carry documents around from office to office before computers and printers were invented. 😂 Office Couriers or messenger boys I think. Those are a throw back to those office couriers just as a feature on bike racks. People really didn't have back packs or panniers on bikes then much.

I think Couriers is the word! I knew someone would have the answer for me in the comments 😂

Just a tad underwhelming.. Not very exciting .. But thanks for all the good info and work to bring us this great look around the bike 👍

Sure thing! I have to agree, especially on paper it's not an exciting e-bike. But it was more exciting to ride than I expected and I think it has a lot of potential for people who like to mod out their bikes a bit 😁

It wouldn't be better for my sore knee because it isn't a step through.
