im surprised everyone only talk about the race winning overtake in Turn 5, that battle coming into turn 9 is just savage from both sides. Max pushing Ham into just enough space, Ham going for the outside overtake even with 50 laps old tyre, both probably doing somewhere near 300kph in turn 9 entry, i'd say thats the most dramatic part of this lap

What a dumb comment that shows you have no idea. Even Max admitted in a post race that the RB had higher top speed. And of course F1 cars go faster behind a car. It's called a slipstream. It's the first thing you learn when you watch motor racing.

After thinking really hard on that move. I think he let max overtake him on porpuse. Maybe he trusted way too much on that Mercedes . Thinking that we would catch him either on the straight or after the two curves. Either way, his defense was Poor if we compared it to what checo did in the exact same places.

@@eastudios1 for me is the angle of the space of he left to let Verstappen pass , he didn’t even try to make the angle tighter for Verstappen to pass. But then again high pressure situation when everything is on the line you are normally flustered so no blame on Hamilton here , just that this is something he could do

I think the plan was to let him through then get him back on the straights. But as you can see Max almost immediately started swerving going down the straight which broke the slipstream effect.

Do you think Hamilton was intentionally trying to kill max? It was Lewis fault in silverstone, 100% deserved that penalty and even more, but it’s not like these guys are trying to hurt themselves, that’s just racing, in which sometimes like silverstone someone is at fault or others both are at fault. If you want to say the word karma then you have to bring real situations in which a driver was purposely trying to take another driver out of the race, like the 1990 Japanese Grand Prix with Senna and Prost. What you’re seeing on your screen is called racing, there is 0 other thing that can be said about it.
