In this video, I share my work as an architect who transitioned from Zaha Hadid Architects to working on vertiport planning and design at Lilium Aviation. Architects often miss out on the vast opportunities beyond building design, such as the integration of ground and airspace planning for advanced air mobility (AAM).
The advent of vertical aircraft, like eVTOLs, necessitates a seamless blend of architectural and aerospace expertise. Traditional planning methods are inadequate for the complexities of modern AAM. This video provides a glimpse into how LYNEports and Blender can be used to plan and design vertiports and their flight corridors, considering weather conditions, obstacles, buildings, and many other factors.
By centralizing communication between industries and leveraging cutting-edge tools, LYNEports bridges the gap between AAM and AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction), ensuring that today’s technology meets tomorrow’s urban mobility needs.
Software I Used:
-LYNEports for advanced air mobility planning, creating detailed simulations and visualizations
-Blender for creating 3D models
