I finally configured mine and started using it. Very impressive. Not as uncomfortable as i thought. Working better than expected.

Hello, greetings from Mexico, now the situation here is very dangerous and unsafe due to crime, we as security personnel, and being in a low profile or indiscreet profile, it is essential and vital, to carry a firearm (pistol), in a Hidden place takes us ahead and ahead. But I would like to see the Vertx unity clutch in action, with an overweight operator, does it work the same? does it work the same? or would it be a hindrance? if you could make a video, to see the results, thanks greetings.

As someone who has deployed well over 20 tourniquets, I can’t implore strongly enough to carry the Israeli style tourniquet. I would also recommend quick clot bandaging.

Yeah I don’t think these have faired well at all in tests. I doubt it can get tight enough and apply the correct pressure.

A flat folded SOF-T takes up about the same amount of space and is a much better TQ, that said any TQ that works is better than nothing.

Damn. I checked for other videos of this belt. Nobody covers it the way you did. Seems like a legitimate option for conceal carrying with some extra stuff. I like the idea of putting it on and easily taking it off. Also, something few people think about. Peeing. I’ll hold it all day to avoid dealing with the belt and holster dance.

Love the vertex. I support full size carry. I understand the possibility of the need for gloves. I also carry chest seals. Absolutely need a spare mag. Please, please get rid of the rat TQ. Sub it out for a Sam or NAR. Check the research, PLEASE! Increase propensity for need of amputation due to poor distribution of pressure. Get a wider TQ. Otherwise, great setup.

YUPPPP! They’re trash. They don’t apply pressure over a large area. I’m sure they work in a pinch. But I’ll stick with a CAT-T.

I regularly wear board shorts and a t shirt. I like to have medical gear as it’s the most likely thing for me to use as I am always getting cut or injured. I’d also like to be able to carry my 19X and some mags while being able to use the bathroom or ride a motorcycle or drive comfortably with all my gear. This is a sick setup and I’m curious if there’s other ones like it. I’ve seen the Bravo Belt and it’s $30. Basically the same as this. I’d assume you’re paying Unity prices for Bravo belt performance.

You lost me at carrying a rats tq….. it’s not CoTCCC and generally does more harm than good and can cause permanent ischaemic injury more so than any other tq on the market.
@DaveSmith-cp5kj

Sure if the rats is used like a cat, but that's not what it is for. Rats is basically a commercial version of the rubber surgical tubing tourniquet used throughout WWII and to this day by EMT and hospitals. It doesn't apply nearly as much pressure as the CAT but its also not designed to be applied and used alone for over a minute before a dressing can be applied. Rats is designed for civilians, were the expectation is that you can get professional treatment in a matter of minutes and not hours. There is also the irony that the biggest fault of the rats is that it does not stop blood as well as CAT, so if the greater harm is ischaemic injury, then rats is performing better than advertised. Regardless, even superficial damage is unlikely given how short term the rats is applied in practice. I would hardly say it causes more harm than good when it is way better than say using a belt and a stick, and you can carry more of them. As good as the CAT is, next to no one carries a CAT consistently as it is bulky. This is the same argument for pocket pistols. Sure a Glock 17 is much better than a 25ACP, but if you leave the G17 at home, and don't bring anything, then you might as well bring the 25.
