Hey Steve. I’m pool owner over 3 years and just recently We have really long days of heavy rain. I have liner pool and recently liner raised up and couple of days went back to normal. I can’t see the bottom because of water turned green. I’m just worrying about huge wrinkles . My question is should I pump water out of under the liner or just wait couple of days so water will go down by itself . In future I will do some french drainage around pool but not now.

If you let the ground water recede on its own then you get what you get for liner positioning. It might have wrinkles, it might not. If you are able to pump behind the liner into the pool then you can manually position and weight the liner with people or salt bags but if you can't see the bottom already then that would be tough. If your pool overflows with water many liner pools will float like this as the water leaks out when the level reaches top of skimmer. It essentially makes a pool outside of your actual pool and the liner becomes neutrally buoyant. Do not let your pool overfill in the future, and that might prevent it from floating even if you have heavy rains.

I try to keep water level right under the skimmer sometimes 5-6 inches under the skimmer. When I’m going to have clear water so for sure I’d use your advice. Thank You Steve

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience. We've been looking at fiberglass pools (in FL). Our friends are very adamant that concrete are better and increase property value more than fiberglass. We are so overwhelmed. Any advice for fiberglass vs concrete? Thank you in advance 😊🙏

I sure do. Please read this article that I wrote comparing these two pool options. www.swimmingpoolsteve.com/pages/fg-gunite.html

@@Swimmingpoolsteve I enjoyed reading it. Very informative and exactly what I was looking for. Most importantly an unbiased advice since most specialize in either one or another, they always say theirs is better. 😊👍🙏
