Univariate analysis can also be called descriptive statistics or frequency distribution where the aim is to determine the characteristics of data, either in the form of frequencies or percentages. The statistical test used in univariate analysis is the SPSS frequency distribution.
Bivariate analysis is an analysis between 2 variables that aims to determine a relationship between these variables. The statistical test commonly used in bivariate analysis is the Chi-square test, where the data scale used for each variable is the nominal to nominal data scale.
Multivariate analysis is an analysis that aims to determine the relationship or influence of several independent variables on the dependent variable. Apart from that, multivariate analysis is also used to find out which independent variables most dominantly influence the dependent variable. The statistical test commonly used in multivariate analysis is logistic regression.
