We truly don't know who won this sparring. Always the one who learns more and takes notes on their mistakes are the ones who win the sparring session not the one who hits more. For example if you wanna practice your head movement and you get tagged alot in sparring, it doesn't mean you lost, if that sparring helped you with your head movement and will make you 1% better that's more than enough to win that session

@@chair8953 I completely agree with you, I stopped taking my blood thinners 3 days before, on sparing day, and 3 days after the sparing session then back on eliquis, was taking eliquis, and an inhaler, I just couldn't do boxing without sparing here and there. It was irresponsible of me to do it especially without my doctor knowledge but I stopped boxing until I'm off my blood thinners which should be soon because my blood clot was non genetic the doctor said it was probably an accumulation that happened throughout the years or COVID 19, I understand I shouldn't have done it, I guess I was scared I had a life threatening event and was mad about it.

headgear is used to avoid cuts bro. u absorb more strikes with headgear on which leads to a greater risk of a concussion
@ithinkihaveebola5238
Жыл бұрын
that is true to a certain extent. At least, it applies on a layer of padding to your head so the impact won't be as hurtful. That's why light sparring is that way to go. Yeah it's not good to get in the head too many times but I know for sure heavy sparring will highly increase the chances of concussion if you hard spar too many times

The reason is because it's easier/faster to slip punches for a counter when your hands are down(also I guess style points) your right tho, keeping your hands up at all time s would protect u alot more. Alot of counter punchers(especially good ones) keep hands down and risk getting hit just to try to slip it for a chance to score a very powerful counter punch.
